On April 26, 2024, a small town in Pottawattamie County called Minden suffered significant damage as severe storms and several tornadoes touched down across the state of Iowa. 10 days later another tornado (which was an EF3) flattened half of Minden, Iowa. Tornado sirens that blared a little after 7pm, terrified residents of Minden and Shelby. The tornado 10 days later on May 6th was a confirmed EF1 tornado.
