(FIRST OFF! I'm not making a part 2 to "The Kidnapped Prince"! Anyway! Back to the topic. Will is a regular at the cafe by the hospital he works at. One of the baristas catches his eyes. One day that batista's ex decides to make a scene at the cafe.)
~Will POV~
"Hey, Nico." I said.
The dark-haired angel behind the counter looked up and smiled.
"Will." He said. "Good morning. You're regular?"
"Mhm!" I said.
He handed me a cup.
"Good because I already prepared it!" He said.
Surprised, I took it. I paid then took a sip. Tastes perfect.
"Thanks." I smiled.
Nico smiled, his pale cheeks turning a light pink.
My pager went off and I checked it. Dam. I forgot I booked an appointment this morning. I grimaced.
"I have to go." I sighed. "I'll see you tomorrow though."
I started to walk away but then decided to finally ask.
"Hey, Nico?" I asked.
"Hm?" He said, looking up.
"Are you seeing anyone?" I asked.
He gave me a shocked look as his cheeks turned scarlet.
"No." He said. "I've been single for two and a half months actually."
"Could I get your number?" I asked.
He started looking around the counter and scrambling for something. Finally he grabbed a napkin and a pen. He scribbled down his number then handed me the napkin.
"I'll text you later." I said.
He nodded, smiling. I grinned at him then left
{Several Hours Later}
~Nico POV~
My phone buzzed and I jumped, almost dropping it.
Unknown
Hey, Nico!
It's Will.
I smiled. He actually texted me? My heart did a little flutter.
Me
Ciao!
Will
Wanna grab lunch tomorrow?
Me
Yeah
That would be nice
Where were you thinking?
Will
You know that diner a couple blocks away from the cafe?
Me
I love that place!
Will
Me too!
A different text conversation buzzed and my heart dropped.
Brad
I was wondering if you wanted to catch up?
I know we've broke up but I miss you
I deleted the notifications and focused on my conversation with Will.
Will
I normally go on lunch at about 11
Would that time work for you?
