Why am I always smiling? What a silly question asked
Would you rather I frown in pity instead?
Try to plaster on a permanent happy face Hurts a bit but nobody knows
Want to cry? Smile.
Dry those tears away Smile.
Don't let them fall
Smile. So no one sees
Find something to smile about They say laughter is the best medicine
It's all fun and games till one loses themselves
What is happiness? I've long forgotten I could by dying inside Oh I'll never show
I hide behind smiles until my lips tremble
Fake it till you make it Might as well pretend a little Or else the me you see will cease to exist Close to unhinged Slowly fading into nothingness I am here but notice I'm not all there
When day is without light and sky becomes a deep void, When the clock strikes heavy and there's no time for lies; In the darkest hour, before becoming one with air itself Demons within come out to play Do not ask why I'm smiling I buried it all with a simple smile

Such a villain might hunt you down when you're not looking He's a hunter after all
