It was not easy to convince his father to let him go to the forest; after all, snow leopards did not usually go to places far from their biome, the misty mountains, which they shared with lynxes.

But Heechul, who didn't ask him more when Jun only told him that he was going to Lake Lilium to clear his mind, allowed him to go at that time of night to the forest, which was half an hour away by running.

So the snow leopard ran on all fours, already entering the temperate forest. Junhui, in his snow leopard form, did not blend in with his almost white fur that was perfect camouflage on the rock of the gray mountain, so there he scared away any animal that was not a shifter.

He couldn't see his watch in his animal form, but he knew that he had left in time to arrive at the lake at 8.00 p.m.

He had the whole day to think and almost bit his nails. What did Wonwoo want from Junhui? Perhaps...?

Since Minghao had said his name along with him, Wonwoo's presence became painfully evident to Junhui, who could only think of those dark eyes; in the magnificent black panther.

Wonwoo was so different from him, and at the same time, so similar. And he was his mate, or at least, they planned for him to be.

He would bear the pups of the jaguar one day, because he was an omega and Wonwoo was an alpha, who had been chosen by the Spirits for him. He knew that Minghao had not made a mistake.

He ran a little more, although already tired and slowing down, and he saw the lake in the distance, surrounded by trees and reflecting the starry night sky with the silver moon.

He arrived at the lake, agitated and standing on the shore, drinking water to hydrate himself. He was used to his colder biome, his almost white gray fur was fluffy, but the forest was temperate.

He looked at his reflection in the lake. As an animal he was beautiful and amazing, as a human, his beauty was more than evident. Junhui knew that, he was not ignorant of what his physique represented, in any way.

Would Wonwoo consider him that way? What would he think of Junhui as his mate? What did Junhui think of him?

The snow leopard moved his ears, sensing someone behind him. He turned and saw him there, as black as the sky above them, with intense yellow eyes.

The black panther approached him. He had white lilies in his mouth that he carried carefully, and he went to leave them in the paws of the snow leopard.

The leopard smelled them and looked at the jaguar with his gray-blue eyes. They could communicate with each other in their animal forms because of the connection they had as firstborns and future chiefs (or well, supposed future chiefs, in relation to the omega), but they were in no hurry.

The jaguar lay down on the ground, because he also ran there from the jungle and needed to catch his breath. The leopard imitated him, lying down in the grass, in front of the lilies that the other feline had left for him.

Junhui was embarrassed, but he didn't show it like the snow leopard he was, just that the emotions were evident to him. Wonwoo had brought him flowers.

There was no verbal communication, but rather physical communication, between both felines. It was easier to look at each other in their animal forms, to be close, but they recognized their scents more strongly and their difference from secondary genders was more obvious. That the jaguar was the alpha and the snow leopard the omega.

When the two of them were quiet for a while, with the forest breeze whispering on them, Wonwoo was the first to speak, opening their connection to communicate.
