Chapter Sixty Nine
The Case of Haunting Tech

"DO YOU want to buy a house?" Wren asked while she and Buck got their things ready for work. "I mean we have enough room for us and Bailey, but I just think it'd be nice for something more ours and then bigger for when Charlie and Chris want to stay the night. Or when we want kids."

"I was honestly think about asking you if you want to get a house," Buck chuckled to himself as he stepped behind his girlfriend and wrapped his arms around her.

"We can start looking next time we're off together," Wren offered, leaning her head back into Buck's shoulder.

"Sure," Buck muttered, kissing her cheek, "Eve is probably going to say we're copying her."

"Just don't have our wedding in the back yard," Wren chuckled, "would you want a two story or one story house? I was thinking one because of Bailey and maybe the future dogs and then kids, stairs would cause problems I think."

Buck paused and looked down at wren, "you want to get married?" He questioned, hope and joy filling his insides.

"Well yeah," Wren muttered, "I mean not right now but in the future."

"WHAT'S the pep in your step?" Eve asked her twin as he joined her as they both walked into the station.

"Wren wants to marry me at some point," Buck beamed, his chin lifted high and a grin on his face.

Eve paused and turned to look at him, "did you propose?" She asked with a small smile.

"No," Buck answered, his smile not faltering, "we were just talking this morning and she kinda mentioned it."

Eve nodded her head slowly, "well I guess you can go buy a ring now."

Buck hummed, "you'd go look with me right?"

Eve smiled at her twin, "of course I will. Just give me time and place, and food."

Buck chuckled, "okay."

The duo both walked up stairs where chimney was sitting on the couch watching the news.

"Whoa," Buck muttered, as the news showed the volcano that had erupted in Texas a couple weeks previous. "Volcano. Crazy."

"So crazy," Chimney agreed as Buck sat down and Eve stood behind the couch. "Still can't believe it didn't happen here."

"Please don't jinx it," Eve groaned, "I don't want to have two disasters in a year, one is enough."

Chimney looked at Buck who was beside him and then Eve who was behind him and then turned the tv off, "so, I wanted to ask you guys something."

Buck looked at Eve who had a puzzled look which Buck then matched, "Okay," he responded leaning on his knees as Eve rounded the couch and sat down.

"This might be a little too personal and none of my business, so you can totally tell me to go to hell—"

"Just say it chim," Eve gestured her hand in front of her to have him continue to his question and not ramble.
