"How do we feel about the mouth?" Lorelai asked her daughters who looked at the snowman's mouth then shared a look of disappointment. "This looks like shit compared to that guys!" Jackie cried out. "God, look at that nose! And his eyes, a scarf too? We are not winning!" Rory complained pointing to the overly done snowman. "It can't be that g-, he's a ringer" "how do you know" "someone recruited him to to sculpt that, and bag the prize over local citizens who are actually trying!" Lorelai cried out. " the prize is literally just new U.S quarters!" Rory told her mom, arms crossed across her chest. "Just keep your heads down and don't stare." Jackie said, then 2 seconds later their snowomans head fell off. "Coffee?" Jackie suggested. "Why so we can see your boyfriend?" Lorelai teased Jackie. "Jess is not my boyfriend! I hate him!" Jackie whispered yelled. "I never said Jess!" Lorelai once again teased sticking her tounge out. "Well Luke works there and I sure as hell don't have a crush on him unlike other people."Jackie snapped back, giving her mom a side eye. "I dont like Luke! And besides Jess calls you 'princess' a lot for a guy who supposedly 'hates' you" Lorelai said somewhat offended "Can we go now little kids!" Rory complained not wanting to remember Jess's nickname for her sister. 𝙶𝚘𝚍 𝚛𝚘𝚛𝚢 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚍𝚎𝚊𝚗 𝚠𝚑𝚢 𝚍𝚘 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚑𝚒𝚖? Rory questioned herself. The trio stepped into the diner going to get seats at the counter as Jackie immediately went to get donuts, as Taylor walked in with a group of Boy Scouts. "Hello Jess!" Taylor welcomed Jess. "What?" Jess grumbled. "Now now I just want to show these boys some independence!" Taylor replied pushing the boys closer towards the counter. "Hey asshole, One chocolate donut please!" Jackie grinned at the boy. "What did you just-" Jess was cut off as Taylor said "Jackie that's no way to speak in front of little kids, now kids is that how we talk?" Taylor asked the boys. "No! And hey we were here first!" One kids said to Jackie. "On the planet?" Jackie questioned the boys. "Huh?" "Exactly one donut please!" Jackie told Jess once again. Jess just smiled at the girl who was being childish, handing the girl her donut as Luke came down, Jess leaving, so Luke can deal with Taylor, but instead Luke went to Lorelai who was inviting him to the bracebridge dinner. Jess walked past Jackie and leaned next to her ear, his lips touching her ear saying "and I'm the asshole? Great example by the way princess." Jess said with his stupid smug smirk. Jackie instantly got butterflies at how close they were and that stupid nickname. Jess walked out to go to school as Rory followed him. " hey Jess!" "Hey Rory, what happened?" "Um my mom wanted to know if you wanted to come to a dinner going on at the inn tonight? The whole towns gonna be there, only if you want to tho of course!" Rory said as her and Jess walked to the bus stop. "Uh I don't" "please my mom feels really bad and considering your my friend could you try to get along with my mom?" Rory said knowing her mom and Jess didn't have the best relationship, and he wasn't going to say yes to Rory,but he liked Jackie and was willing to try for her so he agreed. "Fine I guess""Okay thank you so much" Rory said getting on the bus.

Time skip
Jackie was waiting in line for a carriage ride after her mother, who went all out on the event, announced that there would be horse rides. As Jackie got on the man said "will that be all ma'am?" "Yup just me" "okay" as the horse took off someone jumped in onto the carriage. "Jess what are you doing?" "Lorelai said 2 people per cart, no more no less, you were breaking the rule's princess" Jess scolded her. "First of: don't call me that, second you could have gotten hurt!" "Please I live on the edge, if you want I could jump out?" Jess spoke. "I don't care." Jackie said nonchalantly avoiding eye contact due to her not wanting to be nervous. "You made at me or something princess." " I don't know you tell me!" "Well I can't read your mind." "You got into a fight and punched dean! Who were you fighting anyway and why did you punch dean?" Jackie exclaimed. "Why do you care you hate me?" "I don't hate you! And you still didn't t answer me why did you punch dean, and who were you fighting?" "Chucky presbey's a jerk, so I got mad and punched him, then dean came I thought he was one of chucks goonies so I swung" Jess explained as if it was nothing. "Chuck presby is a jerk. But still dean just tried to help you" "he should work in government service if he's so interested in helping people, but me? Stop worrying about." Jess told the girl. "Still that jerk could have hurt you." "But he didn't. You know this tones full of weirdos and jerks" "in the least asshole way possible why don't you go back?" "Cause my mom didn't want me to" Jess explained to the girl. "How do you know?" "Luke told me" "straight up just like that?"no he said it was his ideas, it wasn't his his idea" "yeah I got that" "nice snowman, snowoman actually" Jess said correcting himself. "You know which ones ours?" "Yeah, kinda looks like, bjork" "yeah? Thats what we were going for." Jackie said happily that someone recognized the trios hard work. "So you don't hate me?" Jess asked her remembering what she said earlier. "Excuse me?" "Earlier you said you don't hate me?" "I don't, we just off on the wrong start." Jackie explained. "Okay then, I'm Jess and you are?" "What are you doing dork?" "Reintroducing myself this is the part where you do too." Jackie sighed but then gave in, "I'm jackie" "nice to meet you Jack." Jess said smirking. "Jess!" "Sorry, Jack." Jess said trying to hold in his laugh. Jackie hit him upside his head. "Oww" Jess complained rubbing the back of his head. " I warned you. So are we friends now?" " do you want to be?" " yeah" "okay then." The two sat down, Jackie shivering from the coldness. "Here." Jess said putting his arm around Jackie's shoulder and bringing her in so she feels his warmth. "Thank you Jess" " no problem" the two smiled happy to be freinds, with slight blush in their face due to how they were positioned right now.
