3:Realization

Jackie Gilmore was arguing with Luke over her coffee obsession and how bad it is for her. "Please Luke just one cup!" "No it's not good for you, if you keep drinking that you're going to have a short life." Luke said not backing down. "Then I'll live a happy short life if I had coffee everyday!" Jackie desperately said. "God you're just like your mother" Luke grumbled serving the girl her coffee. "Thank you so much! You're my guardian angel." Jackie said, happily sipping her coffee. "Where have you been!" Luke asked Jess who had just walked downstairs. Jackie instantly made eye contact with the boy, looking away trying to hide her blush. 𝚆𝚑𝚢 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚜𝚑𝚎 𝚋𝚕𝚞𝚜𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚑𝚒𝚖 𝚜𝚒𝚖𝚙𝚕𝚢 𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚝 𝚑𝚎𝚛? "Getting dressed." Jess responded grabbing a donut. "It took you an hour to get dressed?" Luke questioned curiously. "My hair just ain't bouncing and behaving today." Jess said while staring at the girl who was trying to hide a laugh threating to come out of her mouth seeing at how mad Jess made Luke, Jess was proud of himself for making the girl smile. As Luke was about to speak Rory and Dean walked in sitting next to Jackie, who saw how Jess eyed the couple, once again making her feel jealous. 𝙸 𝚠𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚘𝚗𝚕𝚢 𝚋𝚎 𝚓𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚘𝚞𝚜 𝚒𝚏... 𝙾𝚑 𝚗𝚘 𝚒 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚓𝚎𝚜𝚜.𝚓𝚎𝚜𝚜? 𝚁𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚊𝚜𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚕𝚎? "I have to go,don't want to be late!" Jackie said jumping off her stool not wanting to be Jess anymore . "It's 7:45" Jess said not wanting to be alone with the couple. "Well it's like they say 'early bird gets the worm' so yeah bye!" Jackie said walking out.

"Mom I'm home!" Jackie called out. "In the kitchen!" Lorelai called back. "Hey whatcha doing?" Jackie questioned. "Going to Luke's, wanna come?" Lorelai said putting her coat on.
Time skip (at Luke's)
"Hey, any table." Luke said rushing around the packed diner. "I'm gonna go mess with Kirk." Lorelai said making her way over to the poor guy. "Yeah okay" Jackie responded looking for a certain pair of hazel eyes. 𝙶𝚘𝚍 𝚠𝚑𝚢 𝚍𝚘 𝚔𝚎𝚎𝚙 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚑𝚒𝚖? Jackie hated herself for caring so much about this asshole that she had met just a week ago.
"Hey Luke where's Jess? Shouldn't he be helping you?" Jackie questioned genuinely curious. "Upstairs doing god knows what." Luke said rushing off to get another order. Jackie made her way upstairs, knocking on the door at least 5 times before the boy answered. She hated how she felt when she saw him, flustered. "Yes uncle Luke you- oh it's you." Jess said in a somewhat grumpy tone, not like Jackie had hoped but oh well. "The diners packed and your up here sitting on your ass, go down stairs and help him." Jackie commanded grabbing the boys arm unintentionally. Jess liked how her hand felt on his- god what was he think he hates this girl. "God princess shut up it's bad enough I have teachers yell at me for 6 hours,  I don't need you too either." Jess said not knowing where the nickname came from but he liked seeing Jackie get all red trying to hide her blush. 𝙳𝚒𝚍 𝚑𝚎 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚌𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚖𝚎 '𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚎𝚜𝚜'? "What did you call me?" Jackie asked, the name made her feel butterflies in her stomach, and her knees to go weak.  "It doesn't matter let's go." Jess said not wanting to talk about this either. "Aren't we graceful" Lorelai said noticing the boy almost trip down the stairs. "She pushed me" Jess said looking at the girl. "Sue me" Jackie snapped back. "I could've broken my neck" Jess complained. "Good we need your arm. Now work." Jackie said pushing the boy behind the counter. "Sure princess what ever you say" Jess answered with a sarcastic smile. God that nickname and what it does to Jackie who obviously was taking a liking to it. Rory, who was watching it all go down however was not.

Jess's pov
"What happened up here between you and Jackie?" Luke asked me. "Nothing she came, abused me till I agreed to help, that's it's , nothing more nothing less. I responded. " Do you like her?" He asked me. "I don't like Jackie okay." I said irritated with his assumption. "I never said who" he said smirking at me. "Excuse me?" I said confused. " I never said who I just said 'her'" " you know what good night I'm tired ." I stated walking up the stairs. 𝙳𝚒𝚍 𝚒 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚑𝚎𝚛, 𝚘𝚛 𝚛𝚘𝚛𝚢, 𝚘𝚛 𝚋𝚘𝚝𝚑? 𝙹𝚊𝚌𝚔𝚒𝚎𝚜 𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚢 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚜𝚊𝚜𝚜𝚢 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚠𝚎 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚊𝚕𝚘𝚝 𝚒𝚗 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚘𝚗, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚛𝚘𝚛𝚢 𝚜𝚑𝚎 𝚑𝚊𝚜 𝚊 𝚋𝚘𝚢𝚏𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚗𝚍 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚠𝚎 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚊𝚕𝚘𝚝 𝚒𝚗 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚘𝚗 𝚝𝚘𝚘 𝚜𝚑𝚎𝚜 𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚢 𝚋𝚞𝚝 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚓𝚊𝚌𝚔𝚒𝚎 𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚢. 𝙶𝚘𝚍 𝚒𝚖 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚖 . Then it hit me i like Jackie, i like Jackie. I smiled at the thought.
