Jess's pov
I had knocked on the Gilmore's door at least 5 times now until she opened it. I took the sight in. Her beautiful are face, her hair that was half up half down, and her in her chilton uniform."Jackie. Hey." "What do you want?" She snapped. "Let me explain please. Rory is lying. I didn't" "what kiss her?" She cut me off. "Exactly she kissed me!" I cried out desperately. "Jess look it's too early for your bullshit. So why don't you go and shove your tounge down Shane's throat. I don't know why you keep apologizing anyways we were just friends. That kiss meant nothing. To me or obviously to you." My body stiffened. She didn't mean that. "You know for someone that doesn't care you seem jealous of me and Shane." "So there is something going on." "No but if there is why are you jealous? You have Tristan." "God it sounds like you like him!" "I don't like him. I like someone else." "Who? Dean?" "No." "Who then?" I swear there was a small glint in her eyes. "Shane." What the hell did I just do. "So you came here to tell me you like Shane?" She asked. "Yup I like Shane. You're right that kiss did me a nothing." I'm gonna hurt her like she hurt me. "You know what. Fuck you jess." "Right back at ya." She slammed the door and I walked off with my head down. God why did I have to be so stupid? Why couldn't I just tell her.

Jackie's pov
After what happened earlier between me and Jess I didn't want to go to school. I wanted to tell him so bad that I broke up with Tristan earlier. He had said that I obviously still liked Jess and that he still liked Rory. So we broke up. But we're still good friends.I was at home yelling at some stupid romance movie. "He's a piece of shit! And a liar and a-" I was cut off when the phone rang. "Hello?" I asked answering it disguising my voice. "Jackie? What are you doing at home dear?" Grandma asked me. "Oh my heads hurting really bad." "Your school's counselor called. They said you don't talk much and that you need to get out more. So I told some friends of mines, the huntzsberger, that you would go to their sons 18 the birthday party!" My jaw dropped. "Grandma no. I'm fine really she doesn't know what she's talking about." "Oh nonsense I bought you and Rory a dress and I'll drop it off later. Oh this is the perfect opportunity to make new friends!" And to take my mind off Jess. "Fine I'll see you later grandma. Bye love you." "Love you too." Welp looks like I'm going to a party tonight.

Time skip.
"So she is making you and Rory go to a party?" Mom asked as me, her, and Rory walked to Luke's. "She's not making me go. I said yes." "Mommy." Rory said tugging at her mom's arm. "Why? You don't even know these people!" "One: to get my mind off Jess. 2: to have fun. 3: Rory doesn't have to go She can act sick. It's a win- win." "Are you sure?" Mom asked me as we walked into Luke's. "100 percent." "Okay." We sat at a table close to a window. "What do you guys want?" Luke asked us. "God you sound so happy." I replied. "Sorry. Jess and his girl toy have been doing that all day." Luke explained. As the three of us looked I saw Jess and Shane making out. I got mad. Mad that he went to my house to confess his feeling for Shane to me. But I did feel better when I saw that while he was kissing Shane his eyes were on me. When we made eye contact he closed them fast. After we ordered luke asked us "so what's on the agenda today?" "Well Jackie has to go to some rich kids birthday party in Hartford." Mom explained. "Aren't you lucky?" Luke asked looking at me. "Sure am." "So?" We all looked at Jess and Shane. "Wait." Jess told shane. "Jess!" Shane rushed him. "Relax. I'm out!" Jess told Luke once again staring at me. Stalker. The 3 stared at me. "What? I don't like him anymore." I told them. "Never said you did."

"Okay so we'll meet at Luke's after the party. I'll pick you up at 8:00 and yeah." Mom told me. "Okay well I have to go so bye! Love you." I looked great. My dress was blush pink, with a little v-neck where you tied it to the back of your neck, it was sleeveless and satin. "Goodluck!" Mom said as I stepped into grandmas limo.

At the party
As I walked in a woman took my coat. God this place was huge. There was a big chandelier hanging from the ceiling, and a beautiful marble staircase, and the rest of the house was huge, I already said that. But that's cause it was. I was busy admiring the house when two brunette boys came up to me. "Hi I'm Colin." One boy introduced himself. "I'm Finn. And you are?" The second one was cuter than the first. "Um I-im Jackie." I said shaking their hands. "Where are you from?" Finn asked me. "God guys leave her alone. Sorry I'm Logan. Logan huntzsberger." A blonde boy introduced himself. "Oh this is your house? It's beautiful." I told him. "Thanks. So can I offer you a drink or food?" Logan asked me. "Sure." I replied smiling. "Right this way."

Time skip
I was buzzed. I think. I don't know. I'm not one to drink, I told the guys that I just wanted to have fun. Then like 6? Beers later probably more here I am stumbling to my mom's car. "Heyyyyy mommy!" I yelled out. "Omg you're drunk." Mom said. "Noooo I'm not." "How much did you drink?" Mom asked me. "Like 6/8 i don't know." I replied getting in the car. "Omg you were drinking!" Rory asked me. "Let's just go to Luke's. Maybe he'll scold her and she'll cry." Mom teased.
At Luke's.
"Heyyy Lucas" I said. "Why is she talking like that? Why are you talking that?" Luke asked me and mom. "Cause the party she was at." Just then Jess walked in. "What's wrong with her?" Jess asked. "She's drunk." Mom told him. "How? She doesn't drink." Jess said looking at me. "Yeah how are you drunk?" Mom asked. "3 guys, Logan, Colin, and Finn. Great guys by the way." I told them laughing. "One of them was so drunk he crashed into the food table. I think Finn." I told them. "Jess go bring her some of your clothes." Luke ordered him. "W-why me?" Jess argued. "Cause I said so. Go. Now." "Fine. Come on Jackie." As we walked into Luke's apartment I asked "why do you call me that now?" "Call you what?" Jess asked looking in his drawers. "Jackie." "Cause that your name?" He said as if I was dumb. "Are you mad at me?" I asked. "Why?" "Cause when we were friends you would call me nicknames. Now you just call me Jackie. And you look at me like you hate me." I told him tears threating to leave my eyes. "I don't hate you. I'm not mad at you either. And you said you don't like those nicknames." "But the nicknames mean that we are friends again." I explained to him. "Do you want to be friends?" Jess asked. By now with all the water mom and Rory made me drink in the way here I was somewhat kind of mostly sober. So I wasn't speaking out my ass. "Yes I do. I miss our friendship Jess." "I do too Jackie." I gave him a look. "Sorry. Princess. Better?" "Better." I told him. "Here go change." "Sir yes sir." I said rushing off to the restroom. I got out and said "this is too big." "Well the clothes aren't made for you." "Touché." I stepped closer. "So how's you and Shane." "Good. How about you and Tristan?" "Umm we broke up. Yeah he liked Rory. I like someone else, but we're still good friends." "Oh I'm sorry." "It's fine Jess really." As we got quiet and looked around the room. Then my eyes suddenly landed his. The tension got stronger and thicker in the air. He stepped closer. I did too. We leaned in our lips inches apart. When once again Luke burst in before we could kiss. We scrambled apart . This time I was thankful. He was dating Shane I couldn't do that. "Um yo- your mom said she going to leave she uh she's waiting for you." He said stuttering. "Right um Jess thank you for the clothes. Luke." I ran out of there. "Hey Jackie what took you so long. Me and Jess we were just fighting." "God that jerk." Rory said. "Yeah but we should really go home." I said

Jess's POV
"What was going on up here?" Luke asked me. "Nothing." "Nothing? I walk in here and the two of you are like shrapnel!" "Your timing's perfect by the way. Next time I'll hang a sock on the door." "Hey there will be no hanging up socks on the door okay!" "Relax I was kidding." "Really that's your ideas of funny?" "Depending on the sock design it could be hilarious." "Okay that's it sit down." "Why? You're the one who sent us up here in the first place knowing I like her." "I'm gonna set- what you still like her?" "Look what we're you gonna set?" "Don't avoid the question." "I'm out." "Fine come back I'm gonna set some ground rules." "Ground rules for what? We aren't dating cause she doesn't give a damn about me! And it's not like we are gonna have sex like you think we are!" I said walking out the door. "Hey you ready?" Shane asked me. I really don't want to be with her but if Jackie doesn't like me anymore I'm not gonna sit around hoping she does one day if she doesn't like me fine. "Yup let's go." As we got in my car that caused an argument between me,lane, and Rory I drove to a secluded area. "Right now?" Shane asked me. "Yes right now." "Do you even have a condom?" "Yes I do." "Okay." As Shane and I were going at it I moaned out "fuck Jackie." What!" Shane asked me. "I said Shane." "No you didn't you said Jackie." Shane said getting up. "Look it was a mistake." Earlier when I saw her in her dress I kinda got... yk. But she can't know that she's still a virgin surprisingly with her body and her face, her energy. Everything about her is so captivating. God I need to make things right.
