13: dance the night away

Jess pov
I had made up with Shane cause she's desperate so now here we are making out by a tree. It had been a day since Jackie and me almost kissed. As we were making out I turned my head as I heard a familiar laughter. It was Rory, Jackie, and some blonde dude, and two brunettes. Who the fuck were they. "Jess!" Shane whined. I had then realized I had been completely distracted with Jackie that I stopped kissing Shane. "Relax jeez." We went back to kissing.

Jackie's pov
I guess last night I left my purse at Logan's house so they came to stars hollow and asked for me around town and now here we are. Me ,Logan, Rory, coming and Finn. Rory and the three boys surprisingly got along well, especially Finn and Rory. As we walked to Luke's I spotted Shane and Jess kissing. It had been the day after we had almost kissed, thank god we didn't, but I said I wanted to be friends, which I did. "That's Jess right?" Logan asked me. "Um yeah how'd you know?" I asked him. "They way you're staring at him." "How?" "With disgust, jealousy, and admiration." "Disgust is cause the girl he's kissing, jealousy, no. Admiration also no. We are just friends we both said so last night." "So you don't like him?" "No." He smirked and looked at Luke's. "I don't!" "Okay." As we walked into Luke's I saw my mom. "Hey gilmore's and?" "Logan." "Colin." "Finn. And you are?" Finn asked. "Their mother." "My god those are good genes." Finn said. The two other boys agreed. I slapped their chest. "Oww what was that for?" Logan asked me. "You're hitting on my mom!" I told him. "Finn is! I'm just agreeing." "Oh yeah huh?" I hit Finn again in the chest. "Oww." "Okay anyways I need a dance partner for the dance marathon." Mom told us. "Dance marathon?" Logan asked looking at me. "So basically a bunch of people get together in our towns gym and dance for 24 hours last one standing wins. You can't stop dancing unless you use your yellow card. And our town mayor, Taylor doose, he has this big stupid microphone and has us run a lap around the gym before our break." I informed him. "Yeah and this guy Kirk always wins. But not this year." Mom told the boys. "Why?" Finn asked. "Cause I'm gonna dance with my daughters!" "Nope." "Nuh uh." Me and Rory told mom. "Jackie?" "No." "Then I'll tell grandma about last night." "You wouldn't dare." "Oh yes I would." "Fine." "Yay!" Mom said hugging me. Jess and Shane walked in heading straight upstairs to do god knows what. "I'm coming." Logan told me. "To what?" " The dance marathon" "no" "yes" "no" "yes" I was going to argue before Shane, Jess and Luke came downstairs, Shane rushing out the door. Mom called Luke "what happened." "They were uh... y'know." Luke told us. "Ooh so you got him in trouble? Was there a sock on the door?" Mom asked Luke. "You're disgusting." Luke told her. As Jess served me coffee. I laughed. "What?" Jess asked me. "You got in trouble! That must have been so awkward. Omg I can't breathe." I told laughing. I don't know why but it was so funny to me. "Yeah real funny." He told me. A ghost smirk on his face. He just stared at me as my laughter died down. I stared at him still smiling from my laughing. Logan cleared his throat. "Um well I have to go. Bye Jackie, Rory, and boys." Mom told us eyeing me and Jess. "Bye" we all said in unison. "So go show me where this dance takes place so I'm not lost tommorow." Logan said. "You're participating?" Jess asked me. "Sadly yes." I told him. "Let's go Logan." I paid Jess and me, Logan, and the other three walked out the door.

Time skip
It's the next day aka the day of the dance marathon. I have on (any dress you want cause I'm lazy). My hair is down and curled. "Hey Jackie!" I heard a male voice call my name I looked around and I saw Logan. "Logan hi." I told him as he walked toward me. "Where's your mom?" "She uh oh right there." I told him pointing to her. "Well you look great." He told me. "Thanks. You don't look so bad yourself." "Jackie come on!" Mom called me over. "Sorry Logan I have to go. Thanks for coming." I told him walking off. "Where do I go?" He asked me. "Go to the gym and just sit in the bleachers." I told him. I began walking to my mom again. "Hey what happened?" I asked her. "We need our numbers." She told me. "Oh yeah." After mom and some woman stopped arguing cause the woman thought her husband was cheating on her with mom we went to the gym. I spotted Rory and she ran to us. "Hey." "Hey Rory." "Jackie come on!" Mom told me. "What now?" "Coffee!" She told Luke. "It's not ready." He told us. "Mommy." I whined. "What it's 8:00 nothing says 8:00am like coffee." Mom said. "Fine but you didn't get it from me. Here."  He said giving mom a big ol' cup of coffee. "Angel, you've got wings baby." Mom said. "Yeah yeah." He said. "Come on Jackie. Bye Rory." Mom said. As we stepped on the dance floor Taylor started the dance.  As Kirk passed us flipping his dance partner mom said "let me flip you now hurry." "What no." "Fine flip me." "No" "unauthorized person on the dance floor! Unauthorized person on the dance floor. Security security." Taylor said. Me and mom looked and it was Jess and Shane. What were they doing here? "Well look who suddenly interested in dance." Mom said. "Yeah he's a regular Martha graham."  I watched as Jess stared at me as he put his arm on Shane's shoulder, then kissed her. This was going to be a long night. After awhile it was time for the break. As I me and Logan made our way in the little room I saw Jess getting food. What is he tired from? His tounge in Shane's throat? "The foods for the dancers." I told him. "I'm dancing on the inside." He said. "What are you doing here? Do you have nothing better to do than sit around a gym watching people dance?" "I don't know." He looked at Logan. "Do you have nothing better to do that sit around a gym watching people dance all day?" He asked Logan. "I would t direct any comment towards me if I were you." Logan told him. "I'm just tryna support my town." Jess told me. "Then go back to New York." "Zing Ive been snapped." "You think your bugging me sitting infant if me staring at me like that?" "You think you're bugging me dancing in-front of me staring like that?" "I'm not staring at you." "Then how do you know I'm staring at you." "Cause I can see you out of the corner of my eye, 2 you just admitted it, 3 I can feel your eyes watching me." I snapped back. It was silent until Shane came. "Where were you I've been waiting for 20 minutes." She told Jess. "Breaks only for 10." He told her. "It's just a saying. God what's In this thing." She said looking at the sandwich in disgust. "Thats why the foods for the dancers not you." I told her. "Who are you Bobby Brady? Get a life." "Sure Shirley beavis." "What's your problem?" "Jackie's feeling a little territorial." Jess said hugging Shane. "Jackie get your food and let's go." Logan said. "Ooh that was good and now say 'and get in there and make me my supper'." Jess said. "I got em." I said. "Thanks lane." We walked out the room, me catching Jess staring at me. "That guys a jerk." Logan said as we stepped into the gym. "I know." I responded. "Mom here." I gave her the sandwich. "Thank you." After a couple hours in me and mom were very tired. "Hey tell me a joke." She told me "knock knock." She laughed "good one." "Aww man!" "Oh no what?" "My heel it broke. Ugh these are new heels. The lady said they were barely worn." "They were made in 1956 just cause they've barely been worn doesn't mean they'll work new." "I'm gonna go ask Luke to fix my shoes." "Don't leave me." "Jackie!" "Nighty night." "Logan come here." "What happened?" He asked. "Dance with her while I fix my shoe." "Yes ma'am." "Logan your a life saver." "I'm really sorry about all this Logan." I told him. "It's fine." "Really?" "Yeah. Yeah it's great." "I'm bored." I heard Shane say. Then her and Jess began to kiss. Again. "God there they go again. I swear why can't they just get a room. Or forget a room, a park bench, or a doorway o even a strategically placed telephone pole.i mean girls like Shane what is it with them? Don't they see what they look like? I know they have mirrors." "Hey you talking about me?" Jess asked me. "No." "I heard you mention Shane." "Shane isn't you." "Shane concerns me." "Shane concerns me too. And all women for that matter." "You got a problem here?" "No just sick of seeing you here if you're not gonna participate, then why don't you just leave." "Fine by me let's go." Shane said. "No." "Why not?" "Cause I'm not ready to go. I'm gonna sit here as long as I like and I'm gonna do whatever I like, and if you don't like it then just ignore me and pay attention to your boyfriend." "He's not my boyfriend I barely know him." "Look you know what Jackie. I'm tired of this." Logan said taking my hand off his shoulder. "Tired of what? What did I do?" "Look I like you and I don't care if I barely know you. But I was stupid to like you obviously cause your into him and he's into you and Shane who should be listening since it's so damn obvious!" "What's obvious? What did I do?" "Everyone can see Jackie! Look I like you but you don't care you care too much about him." And with that he walked out. The whole gym was staring at me including Jess. I walked out. As I was sitting on the bench I heard footsteps. "He's a jerk. Yelling at you like that. Guys a jerk." Jess said. "No he's right about everything. About me and you, Tristan, he was right." After a moment of silence I look at him. "Well wasn't he?" He stayed silent "fine he was right about me now leave me alone." He wasn't moving. "Fine." I got up to leave. "He was right." I turned around. "About everything." I just looked at him. "So you're not seeing anyone?" He asked me. "No but you are." "I'll take care of it. Goodnight Jackie." "Goodnight Jess."
