2:Coming out

"No rory" Jackie said walking away to Luke's while her sister followed her. "Please, I can't do this by myself" Rory begged. "Well you said yes by yourself so you're doing it by yourself!" Jackie said irritated by her sisters begging. "Well I actually told her you said yes" Rory said in a somewhat hushed tone but Jackie still heard. " You what?" Jackie cried out even more irritated. " look all you need is a date, dress, and Luke could be your 'dad' for the night. Please Jackie, for me?" Rory said. Jackie could hear how desperate she sounded. "Fine. I'll do it" Jackie stated while huffing. "Great I have the perfect guy for you. His names Tristian." Rory said overjoyed. "Great. I cannot wait!" Jackie said with a sarcastic smile as the two girls walked into Luke's. "Hey Rory, Jack." Luke welcomed the girls, smiling knowing Jackie did not like that name. "Hey Lucas!" Jackie said proud of herself as she watched Luke's smile vanish into a scowl. "Can I ask you for a favor?" Jackie asked the grumpy diner owner. "What?" " Can you accompany me to a debutante ball? I need a father figure and my dad's gonna do Rory's so I was wondering...?" "I guess" Luke grumbled, usually he would say no but he had a soft spot for these girls and their mother. "Really thank you Luke your a life saver!" Jackie cried out. Just then Jess walked down the stairs. "Hey." Rory said to Jess. "Hi" Jess grumbled. "My, aren't we bright eyes and bushy tailed this morning!" Jackie said teasing the boy who looked like he had just woke up. His hair was standing up per usual he had on a grey shirt that was tight in all the right places, some baggy jeans, and boots, with a book in his back pocket. He looked so go-,𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚙 𝚒𝚝 𝚓𝚊𝚌𝚔𝚒𝚎 𝚑𝚎𝚜 𝚊𝚗 𝚊𝚜𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚕𝚎, 𝚊 𝚐𝚘𝚘𝚍𝚕𝚘𝚘𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚘𝚗𝚎, 𝚋𝚞𝚝 𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚊 𝚊𝚜𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚕𝚎. "Hey you good?" Rory asked her sister while whispering so the two men wouldn't hear them. "Yeah why?" Jackie replied finally taking her eyes off the boy who went back upstairs to get something. "You're looking at Jess like an animal who's hungry for meat" Rory said grinning while teasing her sister. "Shut up! He's coming back." Jackie said slapping her sisters arm. "Bye Luke we have to get to school. Lanes waiting for me and Rory's bus is here." Jackie said leaving money on the counter. "Bye Jess." Rory said. Jackie could've sworn she saw blush on Rory's cheek. "Bye Rory, uncle Luke." Jess replied nodding his head at his uncle who just had a scowl on his face. As Jess turned around he made eye contact with Jackie, making her feel a weird feeling in her stomach she wasn't used to.

Time skip
"Ow Tristian!" Jackie said her toes hurting from them getting stepped on so much. As of right now she hates Rory who set her up with him, Rory has an actual decent partner, dean, but the girls and their dates have to practice at different times considering the boys don't get along due to Tristian's crush on Rory. "I'm sorry. I'm not used to this!" He said sitting down on a chair. "Take 5" Ms. Patty said tired of these kids. "I'm going to get snacks, wanna come?" Jackie asked Tristan. "Okay" Tristan said. "Piggyback?" Jackie said. "What?" Tristan questioned confused. "Can I get a piggyback my feet hurt from SOMEONE stepping on them so much!" Jackie said crossing her arms across her chest. "Okay it's the least I could do I guess." Tristian said leaning down. Jackie smiled jumping on his back as his hand grabbed onto her thigh as they started their trip to doose's. Jackie spotted Jess talking to Rory who looked like she was yelling at Jess, as dean came out and Jess turned around seeing Jackie on Tristan's back both laughing.

Jess's pov
𝚆𝚑𝚘'𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝, 𝚠𝚑𝚢 𝚒𝚜 𝚜𝚑𝚎 𝚘𝚗 𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚋𝚊𝚌𝚔 , 𝚠𝚑𝚊t 𝚠𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚕𝚊𝚞𝚐𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚝? All these questions ran through Jess's mind as he saw the two walking to doose's. Jess didn't want to admit it but he had a certain feeling that day of the dinner at lorelai's house when he had seen her, like really seen her since he didn't get to after he shoved into her. He couldn't lie she looked good. She had brunette hair and plump pink limps, that shirt that she was wearing fit her perfect in the right places, just as those jeans did, and her eyes, in the sun they were a pretty hazel color, he liked how she didn't hesitate to argue back with him as he was being an asshole as always. As the couple passed Jess the two made eye contact for a split second. Jess turning his head to look at them as they passed him, Jackie just kept on laughing as they made their way into the market.

Time skip
"I can't believe I let you drag me into this." Jackie said as her and Rory were putting on their makeup in the dressing room with all the other girls who had to do this stupid event. "Please this will be fun look at how pretty we look!" Rory exclaimed. Jackie couldn't lie they looked pretty, Jackie had her hair half up half down with a white dress that was long sleeved because who the hell wants gloves, the dress had a small v neck showing a little cleavage, it was tight on top and flowy towards the bottom. As her and Rory got out of the dressing room along with the other girls, she spotted Luke and her dad. "You girls look beautiful!" Christopher said hugging his daughters. "Thank you dad" the girls responded as they linked their arms with them. " hi Luke, you clean up nice" Jackie said, not lying his hair was slicked back and he had a suit on. "You look nice too Jack" Luke said a small smile fighting to show on his face knowing the girl hates the name.

The two couples walked into Luke's diner, as Luke went behind the counter and the 4 teens went a to the seats by the counter. Jackie's foot didn't hurt as much as it did at rehearsal because surprisingly Tristan only stepped on her foot twice. Tristan said something making the girls laugh including dean, Jess walked downstairs, seeing jackie in this state he was in awe, the way she smiled, how her hair falls a little over her shoulder, the dress suited her and her body perfect, it hugged her just right and showed a good amount of cleavage to him. He couldn't take his eyes off her until her heard Luke "Jess get them coffee." Just then Jess and Rory made eye contact, they both looked away fast due to their argument from earlier, she had yelled at him cause the whole town was down on Luke for a stupid prank Jess pulled outside of doose's. Jackie noticed and thought it was for a different reason, feeling a different feeling from earlier this time it was, jealousy? Why would Jackie be jealous of Rory and Jess. She didn't like him right, right? Although Rory and Jess did seem to have a lot in common. She couldn't let this feeling go as the two made eye contact this time it went from, Jackie to Tristan, then to Jackie and back to Tristian until Lorelai and Christopher walked in. "Okay well we have to go home! Good night Luke, Jess." Lorelai said as the group walked out. Tristan boldly put his arm around Jackie's shoulder, as her and Jess made eye contact through the diner window. It was his turn to feel an unfamiliar feeling.
