Day One: Sophie's Team vs. Ealdred's Team
Sophie's team was focused on establishing their fortress in a strategically chosen location near a natural cliff face deep within the forest. The spot provided a superb defensive position, and Sophie directed her team's efforts efficiently, aiming to create a stronghold that would be difficult for any opponent to breach.
Mia, visibly irritated by the absence of one of their key members, grumbled while securing the perimeter defenses. "Why is Randall off on his own when we need everyone here?" she questioned.
Unbeknownst to Mia and the others, Sophie had given Randall signal to utilize his unique realm-crossing abilities and his knowledge of the woods to their strategic advantage.
As Ealdred's team moved out to launch their assault on Matthew's team, Randall seized the opportunity. Driven by a blend of personal resentment towards Ealdred—who he believed exploited his closeness with Sophie—and a strategic need to weaken their position, Randall waited until their fortress was minimally guarded.
With Ealdred's team distracted, Randall approached their fortress. His movements were silent and swift, enhanced by his realm-crosser abilities that lent him the speed and stealth of a wolf. He found only one member left on guard—a perfect target. With precision and efficiency, Randall quickly incapacitated the lone guard, ensuring the member was safely but firmly out of action.
With the guard disabled, Randall wasted no time. He moved through the fortress, subtly sabotaging their setup. He tampered with their supplies, disassembled parts of their fortifications, and rearranged their equipment to sow confusion. He also hid essential tools under leaves and branches, calculating that the time wasted in searching for these items would further disrupt Ealdred's team's rhythm and strategy. After setting a few last-minute traps for an added element of surprise, he swiftly exited the fortress, leaving no trace of his presence except the chaos he'd sown.
Upon returning, Randall was immediately confronted by Mia, who was anxious about his absence. "Randall, where have you been? We needed your strength here!"
Randall, maintaining his composure, simply replied, "I took care of a guard and created some distractions for one of the leading teams. It's done."
The rest of the team paused, surprised by Randalls' ventures.
Sophie, sensing the need to keep her team focused and united, chimed in, "Every move we make is calculated, and Randall's actions are no exception. Let's keep building our defenses and stay alert. We need to be ready for anything."
