Sophie turned to Mia, her curiosity piqued. "By the way, you mentioned you're a realm crosser too, like them. But you can't understand them? Does that mean you're from a different realm or world as well?"

Mia nodded, a hint of pride in her expression. "Yes, I'm from Elementalia. It's quite different from here and the Animus realm."

Intrigued, Sophie continued, "Then, how come you understand me? I'm speaking English, after all."

Mia laughed lightly, clearly amused by the question. "As elementals, we have the ability to understand Navarian or human languages, but we can't understand the languages of other species from different realms. It's a curious limitation".

As everyone finished their meals, Sophie gently pushed her untouched plate aside. She turned to Mia and explained, "I'm just not in the mood to eat yet." Mia nodded with understanding.

At that moment, Maida, approached their table. "Sophie, if you're ready, I will guide you to Lady Elowen's meeting room".

Sophie rose, feeling a mix of anticipation and anxiety. She followed Maida through the labyrinthine corridors of Gardwyn Manor. As they reached the ornate doors of the meeting room, Maida gave Sophie an encouraging nod before opening the doors.

In the serene setting of the study, Lady Elowen took the initiative to guide the conversation, aware that Sophie was still acclimating to the ways of Navaria.

"Sophie," Lady Elowen began, her voice filled with a warmth that eased Sophie's nerves, "I am Lady Elowen, steward of the Gardwyn estate, and your guardian in these times of unexpected change. Welcome, once more, to Gardwyn Manor."

Sophie nodded, her expression grateful as she listened intently.

"Given the unique nature of your arrival and the ongoing discussions with our elders, it has been decided that you shall stay here at the manor. The manor is divided into various pavilions, each designed to cater to beings from different realms, ensuring they feel at home during their stay with us."

Sophie, absorbing every word, nodded her understanding.

"However," Lady Elowen continued, "we do not have a specific pavilion for Earthlings, as your presence here is quite unprecedented. Therefore, I have decided that you will be housed within the main house, close to my own quarters. This will allow us to provide you with the support you need as you navigate this new world."

Sophie felt a flicker of fear, unsettled by the realization that returning to Earth might not be possible. She looked at Lady Elowen, seeking reassurance in her calm presence. "Thank you, Lady Elowen. I appreciate being close to someone who understands this world so well,". "It's all quite overwhelming, knowing I can't go back to Earth just yet."

"Of course, my dear," Lady Elowen replied, her eyes reflecting deep, motherly concern. "It is completely natural to feel overwhelmed. You are far from your home, thrust into a realm previously unimaginable to you. Unfortunately, as it stands, we do not have a means for you to return to Earth—not because we wish to keep you here, but simply because we do not yet know how. While you are here, consider yourself both a student and a guest. There is much to learn, and who knows? Perhaps through your learning, we might discover a way for you to go back."

"Lady Elowen, if I may," Sophie hesitated, then continued, "I understand the manor is like a fortress. Could you tell me more about the other realms represented here? It might help me understand where I stand in all of this."

"Certainly," Lady Elowen said, pleased with Sophie's curiosity. "Gardwyn Manor hosts visitors from realms as varied as the stars. Each pavilion represents a different environment—from the fiery vistas of Pyralis to the serene depths of Aquaria. By learning about these realms, you will not only understand our world better but also how interconnected and diverse the universe can be."
