"What feelings?" Ealdred replied, a hint of defensiveness in his tone. He was clearly caught off guard by the accusation, his brows knitting together in confusion.

She turned to Darian, signaling her readiness to take the initiative regardless of Ealdred's hesitations. "Darian, lets go. We'll move on the Phoenix team if necessary."

Celeste, not convinced by Argus's cautious approach, challenged him directly, "Don't fool me, Argus. Are you trying to protect that Earthling? Look where they stand now; they would not be at the top of the ladder if you weren't trying to go blind over this."

Argus responded with equal intensity, "Our strongest enemy is Ealdred's team, not the Phoenix. We must prioritize our threats accordingly."

With a chuckle, Celeste retorted dismissively, "Tell it to the wolves. May I remind you, Argus, this is a plan years in the making, so you better snap out of your bubble." Her tone was sharp, a clear sign of her impatience and frustration with what she perceived as unnecessary caution.

"But she's one of us, and it was your plan to plant her in their team as our spy," Summer countered, her tone reflecting a mix of confusion and unease.

"Exactly," Celeste snapped back, her gaze steely and unforgiving. "She should sacrifice if necessary to keep our plans in motion. That's the role she agreed to play."
