Midtown Alien Takeover (Failed)

1. Would you all read a college AU story? Endgame/Infinity War didn't happen, Aunt May is alive, Peter is still Spider-Man and close with Tony. Ned, MJ, and Peter go to MIT (and maybe meet Harley???)

It is as normal day as any, Peter is sitting in the back corner of English class next to Ned and behind MJ. Peter likes the teacher, Mrs. Katz, but hates English. Sure, The Catcher in the Rye is an important book but Peter would rather not sit here and discuss the meaning of Holden's hat or and conformity. 

After his parents died he moved in with his Uncle Fury. Nick is a strategic, serious, and tough guy, he'd rather plan an elaborate mission to create world peace than sit around and talk about symbolism and philosophy. After living and training with the man for so long, those tendencies rubbed off on Peter. Besides maybe the super serious stone cold persona Fury usually portrays.

As a secret shield agent at just 17 years old, Peter would rather be spending his time gathering intel or doing something useful. His uncle made a deal with him that once he turned 18 and graduated high school he would be introduced to the Avengers and allowed more field missions. Boy, Peter could not wait. 

A voice over the PA cuts off Peter's boredom, "Hard lockdown, this is not a drill. I repeat this is not a drill." 

"Everybody stay calm, close all your computers and line up against the back wall," Mrs. Katz announces, just barley keeping the tremble out of her voice. Tears well in some of the kids eyes and their faces look stricken with fear. As instructed, the students close their laptops and crowd along the back wall. As practiced in the drills, they sit with their knees up to their chest and stay as far away from the doors and windows as possible. 

Peter immediately turns into Agent of SHIELD mode. He takes notes of the objects in the room, exits, and location of all the students. He slips the pocket knife he keeps buried in his back pack into his pocket. Unable to leave the room without protest and concern from Mrs. Katz he joins the rest of his class at the back of the room. 

It is silent besides for the occasional sniffle and shutter of the terrified students.

SHIELD

"Director Fury, alien technology has been reported at Midtown Tech High School," an Agent says opening the door to Fury's office. 

"Shit!" Fury exclaims, immediately worrying for Peter and his friends. He needs to call in the Avengers. Now. 

After sending out the code red alarm he runs to the garage and hightails it to his nephew's school.

MIDTOWN

It's faint, but Peter can hear the footsteps slowly making their way down the corridor. He doesn't want his friends to be in danger, but he'd rather the bad guys in here than a helpless class. The footsteps get louder, to the point where the rest of class can hear it now. 

Mrs. Katz grabs on tightly to a large paper weight, ready to defend her students if needed. Peter can't help but feel bad for her. This isn't her job, it's his. Even MJ is trembling ever so slightly now. 

Everyone collectively sucks in a breath as the door handle jiggles. Peter holds grips his pocket knife and adjusts his position so he is ready to fight. The bad guys shake the handle again, this time more aggressively. This is followed by silence.
