Dad has been on a mission for nearly a week. I want him to come home. I need him to come home. I can't handle it without him.
"Peter... he will be home, don't worry," Steve whispers pulling me closer to him.
I rest my head on his shoulder and let out a small cry, "What if...?"
Steve has laces a soft kiss on my hair and runs my hand over my hair soothingly. I relax slightly, "You can't think like that. Your dad loves you more than anything and he would never in 3,000 years leave you, ok?"
I nod into his shoulder and her shifts so we are laying down. My head buried in his chest and his hand slowly combing through my hair.
It's almost like dad is here. Almost. Steve whispers soothing words into my ear and every once and a while places a kiss on my head.
"I love you, Uncle Steve," I whisper and let out a yawn.
"I love you too, Peter. Now go to sleep," Steve whispers. I listen.

Steve POV
I smile at the kid clutching onto me. I don't blame him though. He has lost so much, whenever somebody left they didn't come back and he is worried it will happen again with his new dad.
Steve knee that although Tony couldn't completely decide if he does or not, but that Tony would be damn sure not to leave his kid for anything.
