Thunder cracks and lightning flashes behind the curtain. Peter curls closer into his blanket and whimpers. It is too loud, all too loud. And bright. He wants his dad but doesn't want to get out of the safety of his warm bed. He also didn't want to wake up Tony because he rarely gets quality sleep.

A particularly loud boom goes throughout the room and Peter jumps out of bed and runs down the hall without thinking much, he just needs to see his dad, he makes everything better. Peter's breath is coming out in short bursts and his heart is racing.

Once he arrives at his dad's bedroom he throws open the door. The room is pitch black and quite and he relaxes slightly.

"Peter? Are you ok?" Tony says sitting up in bed, squinting to try and see Peter in the dark lighting around them.

"Too loud," Peter whispers and flinches slightly at his own voice. Tony smiles slightly and moves over on the bed and pulls back the cover.

"Come here, kid," he whispers knowing Peter will hear him with his enhanced senses. Peter crawls in the bed without hesitation and curls up next to his dad. Tony holds him in his arms and runs a hand through the trembling boy's hair, and when the thunder strikes he holds the kid even tighter. Together they fell asleep, getting some of the best they have had in there life. Peter and Tony are more alike than either admits, they both have had some pretty shitty things happen to them, and they both have troubles trusting. But when they find the right person, when they found the figure that they desperately needed in there life, they could never be happier. Tony and Peter can get through just about anything together, and if anyone got in there way they would protect each other because Tony would never let a thing happen to his son and Peter would never let anyone touch his dad. No one knows about there relationship, but no one needs to as long as they are together.

After that, Tony also had a good talking too with Thor demanding that he goes to a therapist for his anger issues instead of creating thunder and lighting. Tony, of course, knew this was irrational, but after that day the thunder seemed to rumble quiter, and it only rained when the Earth needed it. Whether this was Thor or Mother nature Tony and Peter were both immensely grateful.
