Bluey sat next to Mackenzie on the bus. Mackenzie started to blush as Bluey looked over at him. "Hey Kenzie!" Bluey said happily as she gave Mackenzie again. "Hey Bluey" Mackenzie blushed as he hugged back.
Mackenzie walked with Bluey to class. Mackenzie looked down at Bluey's hand. He fought the urge to try and hold it. Mackenzie slowly moved his hand towards Bluey's. He stopped when he heard the bell ring. "C'mon Mackenzie! We can't be late!" Bluey shouted as she ran down the hall. They both ran into Mr. Retriever's class. "Ah, Mackenzie, Bluey, just in time! Go sit down" He said from his desk.
Bluey and Mackenzie walked to lunch together. "Now is a perfect opportunity to hold her hand..." He thought in his head. He inched his hand closer to Bluey's hand. "Hey Mackenzie, hey Bluey!" Jack greeted as he walked up to them with Rusty. Mackenzie moved his hand away from Bluey's. "H-Hey Jack, Hi Rusty..." Mackenzie said nervously. Mackenzie watched Jack and Rusty holding hands with an envious look in his eyes. "You okay, Kenz?" Bluey asked. "Y-Yeah, I'm alright..." He asked as he started to blush.
At lunch, Mackenzie barely ate. Bluey looked over at him. "Mackenzie, are you sure you're okay?" Bluey asked curiously. "Yes! I'm fine!" Mackenzie shouted. "You don't seem fine" Rusty pointed out. Mackenzie blushed. "Can you just leave me alone!" Mackenzie yelled as he crossed his arms. "We just want to know what's going on" Jack said comfortingly. "I-I just...I just need some water!" He shouted flusteredly as he got up from his seat.
He left the cafeteria and looked around for the water fountain. He found it at the end of the long hallway. He pushed the button down and began to drink the much-needed water.
"What's wrong with Mackenzie?" Indy asked everyone. "I don't know, he's never acted like this...I hope he's okay..." Bluey sighed. "He looked like he was blushing. Maybe he has a crush?" Pretzel suggested. "Ah, yes, the Rusty solution" Judo said smugly. "Hey!" Rusty shouted with a smile. "Well, who would he even have a crush on?" Indy questioned. Everyone looked at Bluey for a second. Bluey blushed. "I-I'm gonna go check on him" She said anxiously as she got up and walked into the hallway.
She looked around a while until she saw Mackenzie by the water fountain. She hesitates before she walks over to him. "H-Hey...Mackenzie..." Bluey said nervously. Mackenzie lifted his head away from the water fountain and turned around to face her. "What do you want, Bluey..." Mackenzie said as he backed away from her. "I just wanted to know what was going on, I'm worried about you" Bluey said shyly. "I-I'm fine..." Mackenzie said as his face started to turn red. "Are you sure?" She asked again. "I'm alright!" He barked. Bluey sighed as she took a couple of steps away from him.
They started at each other for a couple of seconds, not saying a word. Bluey inhaled. "M-Mackenzie....I have something to tell you...." Bluey said silently. Mackenzie stepped forward a little bit. "W-What is it...." Mackenzie said nervously. "M-Mackenzie...I uh....I like you..." Bluey confessed quietly.
Mackenzie's face turned completely red. "I-I like you too..." Mackenzie said with his head down. Bluey walked a little closer to him. She wrapped Mackenzie into a tight hug. Mackenzie blushed as he hugged back. Bluey let go of him. "Should we go back to the cafeteria?" She asked with a smile. Mackenzie nodded.
As they walked down the hall, Mackenzie slowly moved his hand closer to Bluey's and finally grabbed onto it.
