33. Gossip

Bluey follows Mackenzie off of the bus as they walk towards the school. Bluey grabbed onto Mackenzie's hand as they kept walking, Mackenzie blushed as they stepped into the school.

As they walked into the main hallway, the whole room filled with whispers. They both get looks and glances from each person they walk by.

"What do you think everyone's gossiping about today?" Bluey whispered in Mackenzie's ear as they continued walking. "I don't know, but I don't like how thier all staring at us" Mackenzie said sternly. People start laughing at them. Mackenzie finally snapped.

"HEY, IF THERE'S SOMETHING YOU WANT TO SAY TO US, SAY IT NOW!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. The whole hall quickly went silent.

A pomeranian nervously walked towards them. "Oh, uh, we were just talking about how cute of couple you are" the pomeranian answered."O-Oh were not a couple..." Bluey lied as both of their faces turned red. "We aren't?" Mackenzie said cluelessly. "Shut up!" Bluey whisper-shouted as she hit Mackenzie with her elbow. "You aren't? Well, you sure seem like one. Everyone in the grade is shipping you!" The Pomeranian shouted as she walked away.

"L-Let's just get to class" Mackenzie said awkwardly.

Bluey and Mackenzie walk into Mr. Retriever's class. "Hello Mackenzie, Hello Bluey" Mr. Retriever looked at their facial expressions. "You two okay?" He asked seriously. "We're all good" Mackenzie said flusteredly as he sat down.

"H-Hey Bluey...W-Why did you tell that girl we weren't a couple...?" Mackenzie whispered as the lecture began. "I-I don't know...I felt embarrassed. I-I'm just not ready to tell everyone..." Bluey explained, keeping her eyes on the teacher. "But we have to tell them one day" Mackenzie said, staring at her. "Yes, I know, but -"

"Mackenzie, Bluey, is there something you'd like to anounce to the class?" Mr. Retriever said sternly. "Uh, N-No. Sorry..." Bluey apologized as the whole class started to stare at her.

The group eats outside for lunch. It was quiet. The birds were chirping from the tree they were sitting by. It was peaceful."Ugh. I'm bored. Can we do something?" Judo grunts. "Uh, what do you want to do?" Bluey asked while taking a bite of her food. "Ooh! What if we play put a finger down!" Indy suggested excitedly. "I'm down for that" Rusty agreed.

Everyone put their hands in front of them. "Okay, who wants to start?" Judo asked, looking around. "I'll start!" Indy shouted as she raised her hand. "Okay, Uh..." Indy thought as she looked down at the grass. "Oh! Uh, put a finger down if you've ever cheated on a test!" Indy yelled. Mackenzie, Judo, and Rusty put their fingers down. "Really, Rus?" Jack asked as he turned to him. "Uh, yeah..." Rusty said nervously as he scratched the back of his head.

"Okay, Bluey is next" Indy said as she pointed to her. "Oh, uh...Put a finger down if you have a cat" Bluey said with a smile. "Boring" Judo scoffed. Only Indy put her finger down. "My cat's name is Almond, and he's a-"

"Okay, my turn!" Judo shouted, cutting off Indy's scentence. "Putting a finger down if you're single!" Judo said quickly. She's been waiting to say that. She counted each person who put their finger down. Indy sighed as she put her's down. Followed by Bluey and Pretzel.

Mackenzie looked around. Everyone was staring at him. "Put your finger down, put your finger down!" Bluey whispered repeatedly. "Mackenzie, why is your finger still up?" Rusty asked curiously. "Oh, Uh..." Mackenzie began to sweat. "Are you not single?" Pretzel questioned. Judo walked closer to him. "Who's your girlfriend, Kenz?" She said smugly. "Yeah" everyone else agreed.

"Guys, leave him alone" Bluey interrupted. "But we just want to know. I didn't keep Rusty and me a secret, so why should he?" Jack replied. "He's just not ready" Bluey told him. "C'mon Kenzie" Judo said. She was only a few inches away from his face. "Judo back off. what is up with you?" Bluey said a bit annoyed. "Be quiet, Bluey. Just tell us, Mackenzie" Judo said as she turned back to him. Mackenzie couldn't find words.

"I-I....Uh..." Mackenzie said anxiously. "Spit it out" Judo said angrily, there were a second long gap between each word. "Ugh! Fine! If you all really want to know! I'm his girlfriend! Can you all shut the fuck up now!" Bluey yelled at the top of her lungs as she jumped up from the ground.

Everyone gasped a little. "You serious?" Judo said as she turned over to her. "Yes!" Bluey shouted. "Oh, why was that so hard to say? We all figured that" Judo said as she looked back at Mackenzie. Bluey and Mackenzie started blushing. "Yeah, it was kind of obvious" Rusty said with a playful smile. "Oh shut up, zest fest" Bluey said teasingly. Mackenzie looked over at Bluey. "Thank you" He mouthed. Bluey gave him a thumbs up. "Okay let's continue our game!" Indy said, holding her fingers up.
