Seeing the familiar red house in the distance, Cori spoke up. "I shouldn't be too long. Two to three hours at the most. I usually get burnt out pretty fast." The redhead told Bella and the brunette nodded. "Jake and I will probably just work on the bikes." "You guys aren't done with those things yet?" Cori asked. "It takes a while Cori." Bella defended.

"He's probably dragging it out just so he can see you more." Cori huffed. "Not this again okay! You offered to drive me here. You can't get mad that I'm going over to see him." Bella told the girl with stern eyes. "I'm not mad Bella! I'm worried he's gonna take you away." Cori huffed out, not meaning to let it slip that she still had insecurities of the brunette girl leaving, but who wouldn't.

"You think I'm still gonna leave? What do I have to do to convince you Cori?" Bella asked, her heart breaking slightly at the words spoken. She knew it hadn't been that long, and that Cori had stronger connections and ties with the Cullens that she did, and even more problems with trust than she did. Though her words still hurt.

"I trust you Bella. I do, I just, I don't trust him." "He's not a bad guy." Bella told her. "That's what I thought about him." Cori said, her cold words hanging in the air like a deadly bomb ready to strike, yet it never did.

"I trust him. I know you don't like him, but please for me, tolerate him." Bella said, and Cori sighed admitting defeat, nodded her head as she turned into the Black's drive.

"Bella!" Jacob called out as he saw the brunette step out, embracing her in a hug, making sure to side eye the red head the whole time. "Jake." Bella said, realizing what was going on, and not wanting to make matters worse. "Have fun." Cori told the two before she noticed Jacob look down at Bella, him holding her eyes for a period of time before Bella smiled back at her.

Throwing the Jeep in park, Cori got out. "Cori what are you-" "I forgot something." She said as she gently took Bella's face in her hands, bringing their lips together in a fiery kiss.

Their first kiss since they left.

As Cori backed away, Bella's eyes were still closed, Cori had a smile on her face, one that was all to real that turned into something more sinister as she glanced at the boy who was stuck, frozen looking at the two girls in front of him. "Have fun." She reiterated, though as she walked pasted Jacob, she whispered, "Have fun getting her attention now." She told him as she made her way back to the Jeep, backing out of the drive.

Looking back at the brunette, Jacob started to worry as she hadn't seemed to move. "Bella?" "That's the first one." She told him lightly, a smile spreading across her face. "What?" "The first kiss since-" Bella caught herself, the younger male catching what she meant. Once again his hopes seemed to crumble in front of him as he watched the girl he was in love with float on cloud nine.

Pulling up to the old yet familiar house, a blur seemed to hurl itself out of the front door. "CORI!" Seth shouted, picking the girl up as soon as her feet touched the ground. "Seth! Put her down!" Leah growled as she too had exited the door, her parents right behind her.

"Cordelia, so nice to see you sweetheart." Sue said as the older woman had wrapped the girl in a hug. "Cori." Harry said as he too had pulled her into a fatherly side hug. "What brings you back our way?" Sue asked, "Not that we don't want you or anything sweetheart." The woman smiled. "I'm failing algebra and I thought someone could help me." Cori said looking over at Leah and the girl groaned. "I hate Algebra, Cor!" "I know but I'm failing, like I actually can't do any worse!" Cori explained and Sue smiled at the two girls bickering.

"Just like old times. I'll get you two some snacks and clean off the table." She said and Seth tagged along. "Can I go?" "You want to willingly learn algebra?" Harry asked his son with raised brows. "I want the snacks." Seth told him and Harry laughed.

"No he wants to watch Cori." Leah shouted over her shoulder and the boy turned bright red as he seemingly hid behind his father. "How about we stick to the living room, kid." Harry told him and Seth nodded along, practically running into the house.

"So- I see Seth hasn't gotten over that crush." Cori said and Leah busted out laughing. "No. Little dude has gotten his heart broke twice now." She told Cori and the red head raised a brow. "Twice?" "With the Cullen and with the Swan. Rumor has it your on again off again with her." Leah said as Cori froze at the mention of Edward.

"Sorry, still a sore spot?" Leah asked realizing her friend's rigid nature. "More like a disease I can't get rid of. And with Bella, it's complicated." Cori mumbled and Leah smirked. "Understand that one. Anyway, what are you having problems understanding?" The Quileute girl asked as Cori huffed, flopping down in one of the wooden dinning chairs.

"Everything. Embry tried helping me, but it all went to shit after he stopped reply to my calls and texts. I'm back to square one." Cori said, her head falling in her hands. "Embry Call?" Leah asked, glancing at her father who had been mumbling about the boy the last few days. "Who else around here has the name Embry, Leah?" Cori asked rhetorically and Leah shrugged her shoulders, not caring to answer. "Let's look at this algebra." Leah said as Cori began to get all the papers out of her bag.

Sue sat down some m&m's, some mixed nuts, along with a bottle of water each. "Thanks Sue." Cori said smiling up to the woman and Sue grinned. "If you girls need me, I'll be in the sun room working on a project." She told them, headed off to a part of the house Cori had never been. "What the hell is this?" Leah asked as she looked at a page labeled notes, her eyes squinting to see the little messy scribbles of notes that were forced into spaces that were forgotten.

"They're the notes that Embry gave me. It worked until I didn't understand them anymore." Cori told her and Leah sighed. "You're gonna hate me." Leah said. "Why?" Cori asked but was met with a blank stare. "Leah, why?" Cori asked again but instead of an answer, Leah tore the paper in half, throwing the pages away.

"LEAH!" "We're starting over." Leah told her and Cori wanted to cry.
