On the plane, Bella's leg would not stop shaking. "I'm sure Cori's fine. She's got the dogs to look out for her." Alice tried to lessen the tension, but it seemed to just make it higher.

"What happened between you two?" Alice asked. "What didn't happen?" Bella joked darkly, a humorless laugh escaping her lips. Alice looked worriedly at the girl sitting next to her. "I think what ever we had is gone. I'm sure I've ruined it." Bella told her. "It couldn't be that bad." Alice said and Bella gave her a side eye.

"You said you had a vision of Lia, that you saw her die. I didn't think you could see her." Bella said quietly, making sure that no one was listening. "I can't. But I got a vision. It's the closest I've ever been to seeing her. I'm still afraid it'll come true." Alice said as she chewed on her lip, the action very human in nature.

"What was it?" Bella asked. Alice looked at her, unsure. "Please, I need to know."

Alice took in an unseeded breath, then released it. Looking around, Alice's slowly darkening golden eyes took in the sleep ridden humans around them, deeming them not a threat if they happened to catch any of their conversation.

"It started with a bright light, then it dulled into a chapel. The stained glass shinned beautifully onto a wooden casket. It was topped with beautiful flowers, yet when I was faced with what was supposed to be mourners, it was nothing but empty pews. It then changed to a picture, a singular picture in a glass and wooden frame. It was a picture of Cori as a child. You could tell by her wild red hair and blue eyes. I could see her father, Jonas, in the reflection of the glass. His tears dropped onto the picture before he placed it into the casket, but I couldn't see who it was."

Bella could see the distraught look on Alice's face as she retold her vision. "You saw her funeral?" Bella asked, her voice choked as she thought about the event.

"When did it happen?" Bella asked. " I don't get dates, I just get pictures. Though it happened after your cliff stunt." Alice hissed, still upset at the girl. "So it could still happen?" "Yes." Alice nodded and tears gathered in Bella's eyes.

"It's your turn, spill." Alice told her. "We tried to make it work without Edward, but it didn't work. Things got in the way. First it was her, then me, then Jacob. Everything keeps getting worse." Bella cried as she looked at Alice. "For god sakes, she did die Alice! I watched her bleed out on a table, and I couldn't do anything to help." Bella cried out, tears falling down her face as she thought about Cori. Alice looked horrified. "How?" "I-I can't." Bella stuttered. "How, Bella." Alice pushed, as Bella cried harder. "Jacob! It was Jake. He went after her." Bella cried.

"Fucking Mutt." Alice swore as her eyes turned black. "He didn't mean to. He wasn't in control." Bella tried to explain, but Alice was past explaining. Alice looked towards Bella, her usual kind eyes hardening. "You're defending him?" She hissed.

"It was a misunderstanding. There's so much you don't know." Bella tried again. "I understand perfectly. Your mutt of a friend murdered Cori. There's no other way to look at it Bella. He killed her, and you're just letting him get away with it."Alice hissed.

"No I swear, I'm not. I told him how I felt. I slapped him. I'm so mad, but he was all I had." Bella told her. "You had Cori, Bella!" Alice hissed. "The love you share for each other is complicated and messy, sure, but by the end of the day, you're not holding up your end." Alice stated. "I'm human, what am I supposed to do?" Bella asked.

"You're supposed to do what any partner would do. Be there, support them, tell them and show them that you are on their side no matter what. A relationship is never 50/50, Bella. There are some days when you have to carry 80 because they struggle lifting even 20. It's never going to be fair." The pixy like vampire told the brunette, thinking of her own relationship with her mate.

It was silent between the two, the words settling in that cracks that had been made.

"What do I do? How can I fix it?" Bella asked softly, her eyes fixated on the seat in front of her. "You give them space. You fix what split you apart in the first place. Let them come to you when they're ready. It may take a while, but it will be worth it in the end, if you truly love them." Alice told her.

"And if she doesn't come back?" Bella asked, her voice cracking. "Don't think that far ahead." "Alice?" "You go with the punches, the good, the bad, and the ugly. And the largest part is that you accept it. People grow apart, life drags them away from each other. Some people aren't always meant to stick around."

"Edward and Lia both said, they said she was meant to be with us. That you saw it." Bella stated. "Just like you said, Bella. I can't see her." Alice said looking away. "Did you lie?" Bella asked, looking to the Cullen as Alice couldn't meet her eye. "No, she was there. In the future, her things still laid around the house, but that didn't mean she was with you two. It just means she was there." Alice stated. "What does that mean?" Bella asked. "I don't know. We'll have to wait and find out."
