"Hey Lia. It's me, Bella. Can you give me a call. I just want to know you're alright." Bella said into her phone as her father had left for the station, one of his friends, Harry Clearwater, leaving to get some men from the reservation together.

It had been an hour. No sign, no call, no text from Cordelia to let the brunette know she was okay. Bella was going stir crazy.

Cori sat inside of her room, criss cross applesauce on the floor, pencil in her hand as pieces of paper lay around her. Each of them having scribbles of words on them or half completed pictures. Each of them showed snippets of the forest, or dried leaves on the ground. "This is stupid!" Cori huffed out as she open her eyes, their bright purple hue still visible.

She wanted to go over to Leah's, talk about anything other than the supernatural, but with her eyes not changing back, it was impossible. She didn't know what it meant, but if it was anything connected with the itch that seemed to be inside of her brain that she couldn't scratch, like she knew something was about to happen, but didn't know what, she would have to wait and see.

The sky of Forks had turned dark and that made her brilliant colored eyes stand out even more, illuminating her room in light purple cast.

"You know, Jake thinks you are some kind of demon with your eyes like that." Sam said as he stood by her bedroom door. "Dude! What the hell!" Cori screamed as her heart raced, though she calmed down when she realized who it was. "Why are you here?" She asked. "I can't come see how you are? This was your first time against an actual vampire." Same said his eyes narrowed. "I'm fine." "Yeah those bright purple eyes of yours sure scream 'I'm fine'." He told her. With a snort, she looked at him.

"Somethings gonna happen, Sam. I can feel it." She told him as she gnawed on her bottom lip. "Not if we can help it." He argued, but didn't push further as a frown came a Cori's face along with a look of worry. "I don't know if it's something you can help with. If I don't even know what it is-" but Sam cut her off as he pulled her into a hug. "What ever it is, we'll deal with it together. Now, what's going on with you?" "Me?" Cori asked. "Yeah, you. I can smell the heartbreak from here." He told her and her eyes cast down.

"I broke it off with Bella. We want different things right now, and until she can figure out what those things are, I don't feel confident being her girlfriend." Cori told him.

"Could this be affecting your-" "It's not affecting me!" Cori hissed, her voice pitch, dangerous.

"Then what do you have so far?" Sam asked as he sat on the side of her bed, his weight making the frame creak.

"The woods. It happens in the woods." She told him as she stared at the pages that lay around her. One particular one had a face, one she absolutely despised.

"Who's that?" Sam asked picking up on the fact that the page was the only one that had a person. "Victoria." Cori sneered her name, a flare of rage that seemed to come with the woman's name seemed to make Cori's eyes burn brighter. "Who is she?" Sam asked as he examined the page closely, taking in every detail.

"The vampire bitch who has been using Forks as her own personal playground." Cori told him. "The redhead? We've seen her. She's been sneaking around the boarders of the Rez the last few weeks. She's fast." He admitted.

Sam hated when something got the better of him, and well, this specific vampire they had chased all the way to the Canadian boarder, but she keeps coming back.

"Why is she still around?" Sam asked aloud as he then looked up at Cori. "Because of Bella and I. It's a long story, I won't bore you with the details, but the vamp with the dreads, he was a partner of hers. A spy if you will. She's also stringing along my father for unknown reasons. I haven't even began to unpack all that." Cori said placing her head in her hands, a sigh making its way out of her mouth.

"I'm sorry I can't be more helpful." Cori said as she looked at Sam, his brown eyes looking back. "You don't understand this yet Cori. I don't expect you to learn it over night." He told her. "That's good, because apparently I'm no wizard."  She told him.

Giving Cori a light hug, she squeezed back. "Thank you Sam." "For what?" "Checking up on me. Bella's been blowing up my phone, and I've been trying not to read the texts or listen to the voicemails. It's just- it's- just thanks." She said with a soft smile, her vibrant eyes dulling just the smallest of bits.

"Give me your phone kid." Sam told her and she tossed it to him. She heard his fingers typing on the keys, his huffs when he would mess up, and finally the tiny triumphant smirk that made its way to his face when he hit the final key. "What did you do?" Cori asked as she reached for her phone.

Looking at the last message sent out, it went to Bella.

She's fine ~Sam

"You know, to anyone else that would seem weird, right?" Cori asked with a raised brow as she looked over the message again.

"Yeah, but it's Bella." Lifting his head slightly, Sam sighed, a frown finding its way to his face. "I smell Jacob in the area. He's probably doing something he shouldn't. I better go." He told her and Cori nodded. "Night, Sam." "Night, Cori." He said as he exited the way he came.

A/N: How does everyone like Sam and Cori's relationship? I love it, though it is complicated, and is going to become even more so? Let me know in the comments below.
