Chapter 70°

Everything was going good for the newly formed again couple. In the few weeks that had passed, Bella was slowly becoming herself again, Cori was learning how to control her powers from the wolves, Jonas Austin even felt confident enough in his daughter to leave for a weekend to meet with a client in Seattle.

But with the good, comes the bad.

Cordelia was made to face school again for the second time, and it went about as well as the first. She had a complete melt down in front of a classroom of her piers for presenting a PowerPoint about how through our history, music and art have always remained two of the most important and powerful ways to move people.

Bella had quickly taken her out of the room as no one else seemed to see it, but with a fleeting, helpless glance at her girlfriend, Bella caught Cori's purple's eyes shining brightly.

The wolves still haven't seen this strange anomaly, and wonder if it is only seen by Cori's chosen one.

But the biggest thing to happen was for Cori to go over to the Swan house, as Bella hadn't answered her in almost a day, only to find the girl in an almost fragile state.

"Bella?" "He won't call me back. I've sent texts, I've called. It's like- he left." Bella said, a dullness in her eyes that had Cori's rage flaring. "Who?" "Lia-" "Bella, who?" Cori asked as she kneeled down to look eye to eye with the girl she loved, her hands over top of the brunette's. "Jake, but Billy said-" but that was all Cori needed to hear.

Sam had been calling off the meeting the last week or so, or rescheduling them, and she wondered why. Now she knew. "Fucking mutt." Cori hissed under her breath. "What?" Bella asked hearing the girl mutter something.

"Nothing. I'll go pay Jacob a visit." Cori told her, but Bella panicked. "Billy said he was sick!" "Have I ever stopped texting you when I was sick?" Cori asked her and Bella was quiet. "That's what I thought." Cori said solidly as she walked back out Bella's door.

"Lia!" "Stay here. I'll let you if he's really sick." Cori told her and Bella dropped it.

Jogging back home, Cori grabbed her keys, as she practically ran to her Jeep, she tore out of the drive and down to the reservation.

Cori was burning hot with rage. Seeing Bella in a state so fragile had kicked in her protective senses, for the first time she truly wanted to murder Jacob, to rid him of the earth for what he is currently doing to her Bella.

Seeing the Black's red painted house, Cori practically slid into the drive, slamming the drivers door as she got out. Billy answered the door with a hesitant smile. "Cordelia, it's nice-" "Where is he?" Cori interrupted the man, the look on her face enough to have him on edge. "He's not in." Billy told her. "If he's so sick, why isn't he home?" Cori growled out, the words practically coming out as a hiss. "I think you should talk to Sam." Billy told her. "I want to talk to your son, Billy." She answered, "If you don't tell me where he is, I'll find him myself." Cori threatened. Billy looked deep into her eyes, trying to find a lie, but he found nothing but the truth. "He's at Sam's. He still transitioning Cordelia!" Billy called out as the girl fled from the Black's porch, and into her Jeep once again.

Cori had one goal in mind, get her hands on Jacob Black, and she was going to do that regardless of what anyone said.

"SAM!" Cori shouted as she got out of her Jeep, the boys meeting her outside, almost as if making a wall. "What are you doing here, Cori?" "Where is he?" Cori asked back, Sam just staring her down. "You can't see him. He's unstable." The Alpha said and Cori laughed. "He's about to be. I just need three minutes." She told him, a glimmer in her eyes that had Sam leery.

"No one is to see him." "Sam-" "Cori, no one." "Tell him to message Bella back." Cori told him, not wanting to give up so easily, though she also didn't want to go against the four wolves.

"What's going on?" A voice asked from the doorway and everyone looked up to see Jacob standing, barely as sweat dripped down his entire frame, pain and drowsiness in his eyes, that was until he saw Cori.

His dark brown eyes almost turned black with anger at the girl, as a ripple of energy tore through every fiber of his being, and in a blink of an eye, instead of a sixteen year old boy, there stood a gigantic wolf.

A low menacing growl passed through his teeth as the other wolves stepped back, thou Cori stood still. Her eyes were focused on him, and every movement he made, that was until he lunged.

Sam shouted but in front of everyone's eyes Cori's blue orbs turned purple as a snarl came from her lips. A single fist thrown, collided with the newly transformed wolfs chest, and had launched the beast twenty foot. He had tried to get back up, and go at her again until her mouth opened wide. "Cover your ears." Sam shouted, and the four boys did as told as Cori let out a blood curdling scream that shook the ground beneath them, and had Jacob a whimpering mess on the ground.

Walking up the wolf, her piercing purple eyes glared down at him. "Figure out what you're going to do Jacob. Be in her life or don't, but don't string her long. I'll be damned if she gets hurt again." Cordelia threatened, and it was something that was not just received by Jacob, but the wolves as a whole. 

This wasn't a threat, it was a promise. Cordelia was out for blood if it meant her chosen one was content.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. The proverb was true, but in Jacob's case, could also prove to be deadly.

Arriving back home, Cordelia headed to her room, only to find Bella lying on her bed. "How was Jacob?" Bella asked sadly. "Billy wouldn't let me see him. Though he said give him a few days. I'm sure you'll get something." Cori told her with a gentle smile and Bella gave a grateful grin.

A/N: We got to see protective Cori!!! How do we like her? I personally lover her, but I would love to hear your guys opinions! Also do you like that she will quite literally willing to kill for Bella? It's meant to be partly Cori, but also partly the hold the bond has on her as well. Let me know! Much love.
