episode one ; my best friend shops
for a wedding dress

BEATRICE THORNTON has had the time of her life staying with percy and his mom. since sally used medusa's head on percy's stepfather, gabe, the apartment was perfect. none of his disgusting stench, his bitching, his drinking, etc. beatrice was glad she didn't meet him.

right now, beatrice was serving percy his blue waffles and blue eggs for breakfast. today was his last day of seventh grade. throughout percy's whole school year, there were no monsters. beatrice was thankful for it.

percy walked out of his bedroom. he was dressed and ready to go. beatrice smiled at him, setting down his plate on the table.

"thanks, bea." percy said as he sat down at the table. beatrice patted his shoulder.

beatrice walked over to sally. she began to help her out with the dishes . the adult was still in her pajamas since all she ever did was stay in the apartment. sometimes, she would run errands for sally, but that was about it. beatrice looked back at percy, noticing he wasn't eating his food at his normal pace.

"you okay?" beatrice asked him.

sally turned to look back at him.

"yeah...fine." percy replied as he moved his fork over his waffles and eggs.

sally dried her hands. she knew something was up with percy. she always did. sally sat down across from him. "school, or..."

"i think grover's in trouble." percy said then explained his dream.

beatrice washed dishes as she listened in. she thought it was an odd dream for percy to have, but then again, she had odd dreams too. so she didn't have much room to talk.

"i wouldn't be too worried, dear," sally said to percy. "grover is a big satyr now. if there were a problem, i'm sure we would've heard from... from camp." she sounded hesitant to say the word camp. beatrice noticed.

the adult put up the dishes. she turned around to focus in more on the conversation. "what is it, sally?" beatrice asked her, her expression holding a look of worry.

"nothing." sally denied. "i'll tell you what. this afternoon we'll celebrate the end of the school year. i'll take you and tyson to rockefeller center — to the skateboard shop you like."
