episode four; we hitch a ride with
dead confederates

WHEN BEATRICE walked out of the stateroom and down to where the pool was, her eyes had saw percy, annabeth, and tyson in the water on a lifeboat. beatrice then also noticed the amount of monsters and security surrounding the deck, pushing aside tourists.

she gripped venus tightly in her hand. just as she was about to step forward, someone shouted from behind her, "get her, you fools!" it was luke, of course. she could tell he was in pain just by how his voice sounded. oops?

they all turned to her. beatrice smiled at them, waving her hand at them before dashing off. arrows shot at her, but she managed to dodge them as she threw some kicks and punches at some of the security crew.

"bea!" percy shouted from below in the lifeboat, waving his arms. "come on!"

"you go!" beatrice shouted, swinging her dagger to hit an arrow away. "i'll catch up!"

her deep brown eyes landed on percy. she could tell he was hesitant, but he listened to her. percy asked for the thermos and before she knew it, her young friends were off.

the adult stayed on the boat as she continued to fight off the crew and monsters. from the corner of her eye, she could see luke limping while gripping his leg that was soaked with blood. beatrice stabbed one of the monsters with her dagger, watching it poof in mid air before she did what she could only think of.

jump off the cruise ship.

"no! beatrice!" luke shouted over the commotion, falling against the railing of the ship.

beatrice braced for the water impact, but something rough caught her. she opened her eyes to see she was on a hippocampus. the daughter of aphrodite laughed with delight, hugging the sea creature with a smile. beatrice turned around as the hippocampi rode out into the sea, following the lifeboat her friends were on. she lifted her hand and sent luke the finger.

"this isn't over, thornton!"

"it sure isn't, castellan!"

"it sure isn't, castellan!"
