episode one ; my rescue operation
goes very wrong

BEATRICE WAS THRIVING at college. she'd been studying at nyu for three to four months, and she didn't hate it. surprisingly. beatrice had made friends, lied to her professors, passed her assignments and exams, and visited sally. she also managed to get a new haircut, change her style, and get as much makeup as she wanted.

she had recently finished her final exams, and was packing up for her winter vacation at camp half-blood. her roommate, aria (a daughter of ares), who she hadn't seen in forever was helping her. aria left camp when she was eighteen to go to college, and had been studying at nyu since. beatrice was thankful. even though they had their issues back when they were younger.

"you know, the real world isn't all that bad," aria said as she handed beatrice a shirt. "i fight a few monsters every now and then, but i manage to survive. you can't keep going back to camp."

"i have too, aria," beatrice told her as she packed the shirt in her backpack. "things have been... a bit rough. i've told you everything! i don't go back to camp because i don't think i can't survive, i go back because of the chaos kronos created."

aria sighed then sat down on her bed. "you can't save him."

beatrice closed her eyes. she knew aria was talking about luke. "i can, and i will." she said sharply, zipping up her backpack. "even chiron believes that luke can be saved."

"then horse man is lying."

"why do you both call him that?"

"why not?"

the daughter of aphrodite rolled her eyes. she took her recent new shoes that she bought, and slipped them on with ease. beatrice wore a grey long sleeve, a men's coat (luke's specifically), low rise light washed baggy jeans, and her white and pink sambas.

"you should come by camp," beatrice said as she slung a backpack strap over her shoulder. "i'm sure the ares cabin would be more than happy to see you. clarisse especially."

aria smiled at the thought, but shook her head. "i don't wanna get attached again. plus, i also don't wanna deal with that kronos stuff. but... if it does come down to it, i will fight with you."

beatrice smiled. "thank you."

the daughter of ares nodded. "of course..."
