Kalpana exited the interview room, her heart soaring with happiness.

She had taken the first step towards her dream, and the feeling was euphoric.

As she walked out, she bumped into Pakhi, who was waiting nearby. Kalpana smiled at her, and to her surprise, Pakhi hugged her tightly.

"Congratulations, topper!" Pakhi exclaimed.

Kalpana laughed, still holding onto the joy of her success. "How do you know?"

Pakhi grinned. "Your smile says it all, topper."

Kalpana beamed and replied, "Thank you so much, and congratulations to you too."

Pakhi looked surprised. "How do you know?" she echoed Kalpana's earlier question.

Kalpana chuckled. "Your smile says it all," she said, and they both laughed together.

Pakhi extended her hand. "Friends?"

Kalpana hesitated for a moment.

She didn't know if befriending Pakhi Kapoor was the right decision.

She had always maintained her distance from others, focusing solely on her studies and goals.

Pakhi, sensing her hesitation, said gently, "Don't worry, I won't force you. Take your time."

But Kalpana saw something genuine in Pakhi's eyes, a sincerity that was hard to ignore.

Smiling, she shook Pakhi's hand and said, "Friends!"

Pakhi's face lit up with a genuine smile that Kalpana hadn't seen before.

It was a moment of pure happiness and the beginning of a new friendship.

As they walked out together, Kalpana felt a sense of warmth and hope.

This day had brought her not only closer to her dream but also a new friend.

Pakhi pulled into her driveway, parked her car, and headed inside her luxurious home.

As soon as she stepped through the door, she was greeted by the loud chatter and laughter of her mother's kitty party friends.

She rolled her eyes, trying to sneak past them towards her room.

"Arey Pakhi, idhar aana! Baith hamare saath," her mother called out, waving her over.

"No thanks, Mom. I'm not interested," Pakhi replied, not breaking stride as she headed upstairs.

In her room, she quickly changed into more comfortable clothes and then made her way to her grandmother's room.

The moment she stepped in, she felt a sense of peace wash over her.

She hugged her grandmother tightly.

"Kya hua? Mera puttar aaj itna khush kyun hai?" her grandmother asked, looking at her with loving eyes.

Pakhi smiled broadly. "Haan Dadi, maine aapko bataya tha na ki mere college mein campus placement hone wali hai? Guess what, Dadi, mujhe job mil gayi!"

Her grandmother's face lit up with joy. "Sach? Yeh toh bahut achi baat hai, beta. Main bahut khush hoon tere liye."

Pakhi's grandmother was her rock.
