Vyom paced restlessly around his cabin, his mind a whirl of chaotic thoughts.

Ever since he learned that Angad was meeting Kamakshi for a marriage proposal, he hadn't been able to sit still.

The idea of Kamakshi being with someone else sent a shiver of fear down his spine.

He had always been clear with himself about his feelings for her, but the uncertainty of what she felt for him gnawed at him.

He ran a hand through his hair, his thoughts spiraling.

What if she likes him?

What if she agrees to marry him?

The idea twisted his gut in ways he hadn't expected.

He had never been one to lose control over emotions, but Kamakshi was different.

She wasn't just any woman.

She was the one who had silently woven her way into his heart without even knowing it.

Meanwhile, downstairs in the restaurant, Kamakshi sat across from Angad.

Their initial conversation had been awkward, as most set-up meetings like these often are.

But soon, the tension dissolved, and they began to talk more freely.

Angad, a composed man with a sharp wit, wasted no time in getting straight to the point.

"Look, Kamakshi," Angad began, his voice calm but firm. "I respect my family's wishes, but I have to be honest. I'm not looking to get married—not to you, not to anyone. My focus is entirely on my work right now, and I'm not in a place to give time to a relationship."

Kamakshi exhaled softly, relief washing over her. "Honestly, Angad, I feel the same. I didn't want to come here with any expectations, and I'm glad you're clear about your priorities. I don't think we're right for each other either."

They shared a mutual understanding, and the tension lifted entirely.

The conversation flowed more comfortably after that, both of them recognizing that this meeting was more of a formality than anything else.

Kamakshi respected Angad's honesty, and in return, she shared some of her own thoughts.

"To be honest," she confessed, "my heart's not in this either. I'm not sure what I'm looking for, but I know this isn't it."

Angad nodded, smiling gently. "We're on the same page, then."

As they finished their conversation and wrapped up the meeting, Kamakshi couldn't help but think of Vyom.

The image of his face when he learned about her meeting Angad flashed in her mind, and it tugged at her heart.

His usual spark, that undeniable charm, had dimmed, and for reasons she couldn't fully understand, it bothered her.

The thought of him sad—of Vyom being sad—felt wrong.

She could feel the subtle flutter in her heart as she thought about him.

It was a feeling she hadn't allowed herself to fully acknowledge before.

Butterflies.

A warmth spreading in her chest.

She didn't know what it meant, but she didn't like seeing him upset, and the idea of him thinking she could be with someone else... it didn't sit well with her at all.
