The morning sun streamed through the hotel curtains as Saanchi slowly opened her eyes.
Her head was aching badly, and she felt a weight on her waist.
Blinking away the haze of sleep, she looked down to see a head resting there.
She rubbed her eyes and was shocked to see Dhruv's head on her waist, his arms tightly wrapped around her.
A shiver ran through her body as Dhruv nuzzled his nose against her waist in his sleep.
The sensation was both unfamiliar and strangely pleasant.
She found herself almost reaching out to run her fingers through his hair, but then the events of last night came crashing back.
Dhruv had confessed his love for her, and she froze, her hand stopping mid-air.
Angry at herself for enjoying his touch, she wriggled in his hold.
Dhruv stirred, opening his eyes and looking up at her with a loving smile.
For a moment, her heart skipped a beat at the sight of his tousled hair and morning face.
"Good morning, Saanchi ji. What a wonderful morning for me, waking up to your beautiful face," he said softly.
"Get off me, Dhruv," she said, her voice tinged with anger and confusion.
He tightened his hold slightly, his gaze unwavering. "No," he simply said, making her frustration grow.
"Leave me, Dhruv!" she yelled, tears beginning to form in her eyes.
Seeing her tears, Dhruv immediately let go and sat up, his expression turning to one of concern. "I'm really sorry, Saanchi ji. Please don't cry. I can't bear to see your tears."
She looked at him, the pain and conflict evident in her eyes. "Just leave me alone. And forget what you said last night."
Dhruv shook his head, determination etched on his face. "Not in this lifetime, Saanchi ji. I can't forget that I confessed my love to you, and I won't let you forget it either. I know you have feelings for me too, but you're afraid to accept them."
Her neck snapped toward him, her eyes blazing with a mix of anger and confusion. "We have to leave for Panchgani," she said curtly.
Dhruv took that as his cue to leave the room. "Alright, Saanchi ji. I'll get ready," he said, his voice gentle but firm.
He stood up and walked out, leaving Saanchi alone with her tumultuous thoughts.
As she prepared for the journey back to Panchgani, Saanchi couldn't shake the echo of Dhruv's words from her mind.
Her heart and mind were at war, and she knew this internal struggle was far from over.

The drive to Panchgani was enveloped in a thick silence.
Saanchi kept her gaze firmly on the road ahead, unwilling to meet Dhruv's intense stare.
Every time she felt his eyes on her, a shiver ran down her spine, forcing her to look away, unable to handle the emotions his gaze stirred within her.
After a long five-hour journey, they finally reached Panchgani.
As they pulled up to Saanchi's house, she saw her family and Dils standing outside, eagerly waiting.
Saanchi stepped out of the car and immediately went to her nani and aaji, hugging them tightly.
