Work Text:

"hmm... Brad, Dinah or Austin?"

Lauren bursts out laughing and nearly falls of the bed they are both laying on. It's the shocked kind of laughter. The kind you let out to truly process what your wonderful yet way too inquisitive girl asked you.

"You did not just ask me whether or not I want kiss screw kill, my ex, Austin or your best friend!"

Camila laughs but it doesn't sound fun, it sounds deflated and she knows Lauren noticed. She always does. However she doesn't press on the tone and instead pulls her even closer to her chest. Camila smiles In contentment.

"Well I for one, wouldn't want to be within a meter of Austin unless it's at his funeral so kill."

Camila is amused at how quickly she eliminates (literally) him out of the dilemma.

"Would kiss Dinah to shut her up..."

Lauren expects her to laugh. She doesn't. Regret at even suggesting this game to be played starts piling at the pit of her stomach because she knows what is coming next and it makes her sick.

The urge to puke remains until Lauren breaks it with a simple question:

"Wait..

Who was number three again?"

"uhm Brad..."

Lauren's eyes widen and she seems terrified about her own decision.

"Oh hell no scratch that, Austin can get a quick peck  I am not kissing nor banging my ex."

Camila lets out a laugh, a genuine one. One full of relief because of course Lauren wouldn't-

Out of the corner of her teary eyes she sees Lauren lean over her and props herself up on an elbow. Her dark room's even darker lighting maker her almost impossible to see, but Camila shoots a shot in the dark regardless and leans in...

"Come on Cabello, your tu-"

A kiss commemorated the end of the game.
