"Do you have any idea how much I waited for you?" Gabriela asked us when she saw that we arrived, besides her and Gavi.
"I'm sorry, they couldn't decide what they should wear." I told her as I sat next to her at the table, looking for something to drink.
"Ariana, you really don't get the irony today?" she said as she took her sunglasses down for a bit, to look into my eyes with a smile.
"Let the girl alone, you will traumatize her." Gavi said as he heard the last part of the conversation.
"Right, right. You always have to fight for peace." Gabriela told Gavi, rolling her eyes at him.
"Sure I do, that's what I do the best." Gavi said as he went to greet the rest of us.
"Where is Fer? Isn't he coming too?" Gabriela asked Pedri, as she wanted to go inside and talk about the karts we were renting.
"He is on his way, I just talked to him earlier." Pedri explained while going for a hug from me, leaning for a kiss in front of everyone.
"SO I WAS RIGHT ALL THIS TIME!" Gavi screamed and I saw Gabriela jumping from the scream.
"Are you crazy? And you two, finally. It took you long enough." Gabriela said as she winked at us. "I'm so happy for you." she then continued.
"Thank you, and I mean it." Pedri said as he tried to make a point that Gabriela would understand, but she looked confused at him.
"For what? Oh, right. You're welcome." she said as she remembered the conversation they had a few days ago.
"For what? What's going on?" I asked them and Gabriela just laughed, while Pedri tried to come up with something.
"I told him to grow some balls and ask you out. He was scared to do anything by himself, besides I just returned the favor." Gabriela explained and Pedri kept looking at me, while I gave him a smile.
"Is that so?" I asked him, kissing his cheek.
"Well, yeah. But don't tell me you weren't at least a bit anxious." he told me and I just rolled my eyes.
"Cocky, that's all I'm gonna say." I told him and before he could say anything, Fer appeared next to us.
"Hi guys, sorry I'm late. I got caught up with something." Fer explained and then we would go to talk to the staff about our karts.
We chose our teams, I was with Pedri, Gabriela went with Gavi, Sofia with Fer and Evelyn went with Olivia. Before we started the race, one of the guys told us the rules and gave us instructions about the whole thing.
"I wonder who is gonna win the race..." Gavi told Pedri and he just laughed in his face.
"Yeah, I don't." he told Gavi while he flipped Pedri.
"You know, guys, it's us who are gonna win tonight, just accept it already." Evelyn told them while giving Olivia a high five.
"You discredit me once again." Fer told us and we laughed at his words.
"Hermano, you know that I love you, but you suck." Pedri told him and Fer punched his arm. "Right, sorry, you don't suck. My bad." Pedri said as he noticed Sofia next to Fer, subtly holding his hand.
"Okay, are you ready? You got your helmets, you know the rules. You start when you see my sign, alright?" the guy told us one last time before our karts would start. "Go!".
