"No. Way." I said as I saw Pedri through a glimpse in the crowd that we were in as we got off the plane in Barcelona. He was all smiles.
"Surprise!" he said as he came to me for a hug that was full of love and emotions, it's been months since we saw last time.
"But, how did you know that? I thought it was gonna be a surprise." I said as I took a few seconds away from the hug to see his face.
"I think you already know. Happy birthday, my love." he said as he looked at Evelyn and Sofia, who were next to us.
"Of course, how wouldn't I figure it out?" I said as we laughed about it, walking with Pedri to his car. "Thank you." I continued as I placed a soft kiss on his cheek.
"How does it feel to be back in Barcelona?" Pedri asked as he put our bags into the trunk.
"It feels like home." I said as I couldn't keep my eyes off of him.
"I hope you are not too tired, I have something planned for you today." Pedri said as he was starting the car, turning around to Evelyn who was giving him a look.
"What have you planned?" I asked him curious, as I wasn't expecting anything.
"Already asking too much." He said as I scoffed, "It's a surprise, you will see." he continued as he grabbed my hand for a kiss.
"So, Pedri, how you've been lately?" Evelyn asked.
"You know, besides football nothing much. The coach is pressing us with the training, but I can't complain. We need to keep our spot in the first placement in the table, we want to win the league again this year, besides other objectives..." Pedri explained, but he realized soon what she actually meant. "But yeah, everything is fine. You?" he continued.
"I'm fine, too. You know, as usual. Just like you, well, besides football." she said but she got interrupted by a notification on her phone.
Soon we arrived at his place, the road was a bit frustrating since it was early in the morning when we landed. His house here is also impressive, I wouldn't expect less from a man with his taste. Pedri showed us around and gave Evelyn and Sofia their rooms, leaving us alone for a moment, when we went back to his room.
"Pedri, I missed you so much, you have no idea." I said as I was sitting on the edge of the bed, while Pedri was sitting in front of me.
"You have no idea how much I waited for this moment." he said as he leaned for a kiss, but soon enough he was on top of me.
"I'm so tired of seeing you just through a screen, ugh. I forgot how much I adored your perfume." I said as I caressed his face and slowly scratched the back of his head.
"For me, the hardest part is that I have to wake up alone, not having you by my side." Pedri said as he rested his head on my shoulder, playing with my hair.
"You tell me? I feel like I can't even enjoy these days with you because I'll be back home soon and there's no you around." I said as I turned over him.
"I promise you, one day these will be just memories and a statement of how strong our relationship is." he said as he was caressing my cheek while holding me closer with his hand on my waist.
"I know that, baby. I know." I said as I was resting my head back on his chest, so I could feel his heartbeats. "What are we doing tonight?" I asked him as I was tracing my fingertips on his arm.
"I was thinking, maybe, hmm..." he said, stopping right before revealing his plan.
"Maybe what?" I asked as I got up to see him.
