Fer's POV

"Ariana just left home, she told me that she texted Pedri earlier that she is busy all day, now you can start doing whatever you have to. I'll get ready soon to get her from the airport." Gabriela said.

"Alright, I'll text him and I'll see what I can do to make it seem less obvious." I said, thinking of something to distract Pedri with.

"I might have an idea." Gabriela continued, with a shady tone in her voice.

"I'm scared, but go on."

"You can play the hurt card, that you feel sad over the breakup, that you need to talk to someone and he's the only one that you feel comfortable to talk to about this, get emotional about something." she suggested.

"Great idea, that could take a while."

"See? When you drop him off at home, you can tell him you forgot something and will be right back. Then Ariana shows up like magic."

"That's the plan then. Keep me updated if something shows up, okay?"

"Don't worry, we'll keep in touch."

Fer:
Are you home today?

Pedri:
Yeah, why?

Fer:
I was thinking, maybe we can go for dinner together?

Pedri:
Sure, but I can't stay late

Fer:
I know, don't worry
Just dinner
But I want to come by earlier, I need to talk to you

Pedri:
Did something happen?

Fer:
No, nothing to worry about

Pedri:
Just come in, it's unlocked

"Long time no see!" I said as Pedri opened the door, furrowing his eyebrows at my words.

"But we saw each other on Sunday...?" Pedri said, confused.

"And it's been a long time." I continued.

"Fair enough, what else can I say." he said, as he closed the door behind me, taking steps to the kitchen.

"Ready for tomorrow?" I asked him as I left my jacket on the hanger.

"Yeah, I could say so." Pedri murmured, which left me a bit surprised.

"You could say so?" I questioned.

"I'm just a bit tired, that's all." he said, trying to find an excuse for his moodiness.

"You picked the wrong person to fool, you know that, right?" I told him as we both sat on the couch, and he turned on the TV.

"I won't bother you with this." he said, with a sad voice.

"You can tell me, come on. What's the problem?" I said, trying to convince him to talk to me.

"It's just, I don't know. I feel really selfish right now for many reasons." he explained, trying to avoid the conversation as he kept changing the programs on TV.

"What makes you think that?"

"First of all, I shouldn't be talking to you about my relationship when you just broke up with Sofia, and second of all, it's wrong for me to feel the way I do." Pedri said, as he gave me a guilty look.
