"Good morning, my sweet and beautiful angel." I said as I was covering Pedri with kisses, after I noticed that he was almost waking up.
"Good morning to you too, my sunshine." he said as he caressed my cheek, kissing me next.
"How did you sleep?" I asked him as he closed his eyes again, but having a sleepy smile on his face.
"Like a baby." he said with his sleepy voice, as he hugged me, covering me too in the sheets.
"I'm glad you slept well." I said as I was caressing his face.
"Of course I did, I had all the reasons." he murmured as he was almost falling back asleep.
"I'm going to make some coffee, you can sleep if you want to, okay?" I said as I was getting up, but Pedri pulled me back, next to him, to kiss me.
"No, no. I will come with you." he said, rubbing his eyes. "Alright, let's go downstairs." he continued as he got up, but I couldn't help laughing at his fluffy hair being all over the place. "What?" he asked me and I pointed at his hair, "Ah, right." then he said as he tried to make it look at least decent.
"So, what are you in the mood for?" I asked him as we headed to the kitchen, where my parents were sitting since it was a peaceful Saturday.
"Good morning, kids." mom said as she looked up from her phone, "Have a seat." she continued.
"Good morning." Pedri said, still sleepy.
"How are you, champ? Any plans for today?" dad asked us, putting his laptop aside.
"I'm fine, sir. Just a bit tired, and you?" Pedri said, taking a break, "Thank you so much." as he said to my mother for bringing him a glass of juice, "No plans for today, at least not for now. I guess you have a free day today." he continued talking to my father.
"I finally got some free time, I have pretty demanding clients that are usually draining the soul out of me. But today they let me live, surprisingly." dad said, laughing with Pedri.
"I can imagine what's like, a problem always showing up and messing up everything, someone gotta fix that, and not many can do great things on different things." Pedri said, while my father nodded, approving him.
"As they said, you gotta have some cojones in this field." dad said and everyone laughed at his words.
"You're right, sir." Pedri said, still laughing.
"When are you leaving, Pedri?" mom asked as she got us some plates on the table.
"Tomorrow, ma'am." he said, pursing his lips as he took a look at me.
"Already leaving?" mom asked him, surprised.
"Unfortunately. Our season is starting soon, so I have to go back to Barcelona, not even Tenerife." he explained, and I just leaned my head on his shoulder. "But for sure I will visit you again as soon as possible, I'm having a great time here." he continued as he held my hand.
"Don't worry, we will come to your games and support you from there too. I miss going to your games anyway." dad said and Pedri was all smiles.
"What were the odds that this family supports my team?" Pedri said and I was smiling remembering all the things my father did as a Barca fan.
"When Ariana was a little child I would make her wear all kinds of jerseys, she was so happy when games were starting. I remember one time, we were at a match, it was a home game. She was with a Xavi jersey on, she wanted one of those flags with the badge on it so badly. Not only that everyone was turning their heads around when they noticed a little girl with pigtails screaming "Barca, Barca, Barca" all the time, waiving a little flag when the players were around us." dad related and Pedri was smiling at hearing the story, sometimes glancing at me. "I remember that Xavi eventually gave you his shirt when he noticed what a sweet fan he had." dad continued and I was looking shocked at him.
"I forgot about that, I wonder where that shirt is." I said as I got up from my seat, heading to my room to look for it.
"That's such a cute story, I can imagine her walking around the stadium, being mesmerized by everything. And even having a shirt from Xavi himself, I'm sure she was so happy." Pedri said with a big smile on his face, while my father laughed as he remembered that day.
"She was 5 or 6 then, I don't remember exactly." dad said as he got up to look for something. "Let's see what we have in this photo album." he continued as he was holding a big album is hands. "I can't wait for Camp Nou to be ready." he said as he was showing Pedri a picture of the stadium at that time.
"Me too, I miss it a lot, it was like home." Pedri said as he looked at the same picture.
"There she is, my little girl." dad said as he found a picture of me in the stadium, Mes que un Club showing up in the back, and as my father related, I was holding a little flag with the badge, wearing my kid's jersey, with the little pigtails that made me look even more adorable.
"Oh my God, I've found it!" I said as I came to them, wearing the shirt that Xavi gave me back then.
"I was just showing Pedri pictures from the game, too." dad said as he also showed me that picture of me.
"I was so small, damn." I said, laughing, seeing myself there. "I should recreate this picture." I continued.
"This time you could wear my shirt." Pedri said.
"And what if I want to keep my Xavi shirt?" I said and my father gave me a look.
"Support the boy, Ariama. Don't be rude. Pedri, don't worry, I will be there." dad said, and Pedri gave him a pat on his shoulder.
"Thank you, sir. It means a lot. I'm sure Ariana would change her mind." Pedri said, winking at me.
"We'll see about that." I said, smiling ironically at him.
"So you don't want me to score more goals, I see." he continued, then my father was looking at us.
"Of course, of course. I'm kidding, you know you have all my support already." I said as I hugged him from behind.
"Kids, I have to get some groceries. I'll see you later." dad said as he looked at the time, which is the hour when he usually goes shopping.
"Take care, dad, see you." I said as I made a sign to Pedri to go upstairs, back to my room.
"You were so cute in those pictures." Pedri said as we got inside, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"I forgot about that honestly, but I remember some flashes though." I said as I was changing back to my shirt from earlier.
"Yeah, it's been some time since then." Pedri said as he was looking at me and me only, with such a beautiful look in his eyes.
"What?" I asked him with a smile, as I noticed his face.
"Nothing, nothing." he said, trying to brush it off.
"Oh, come on. Tell me, what's going on?" I said as I was sitting on his lap, having his hands on my waist.
"I would like to have a daughter like that." he said with a smile on his face.
"One day you will have her." I told him as I pressed my forehead on his, hugging him.
