Tips To Help You Memorize Bible Verses
- Choose a verse that speaks to you
Whether that verse motivates you, convicts you, challenges you, etc
- Choose a verse that applies to a current season and situation.
Something that you want to remember in this season you're in or something that will inspire, anchor, and support you in this season.
- Choose one that you would want to keep in mind to help others
Whether it be to evangelise, encourage a friend, or build up a community. Choose a verse you know you'll want to recite and tell others about. It is also a verse you would like to start conversations with.
- Choose a verse that you want to apply and desire to have
This is a verse that will serve as a reminder for you.
- Write down these verses and put them somewhere, whether by your mirror, next to your nightstand, or by printing them out. There are so many apps where you can download cute bible verses for wallpapers or even to frame. Pinterest is a great app for that. We also create bible verse wallpapers and lock screens on our Pinterest account. You can have it as a lock screen. Since we often like changing our lock screens. You can have a different verse for each season
- Try creating sessions where you repeat it. Whether during prayer. For example, there are certain verses I like to revise before I go to sleep. These are verses speaking of God's protection, guidance, etc. Finding a time when you can repeat these verses (especially in prayer) will help you remember them over time.
