The Car came to a halt in front of a black-spiked gate, the revving of the engine dying as well. Cielo unbuckle her seatbelt and turn her attention to the younger woman who's peacefully fast asleep in her passenger seat, the latter's grip on her suit slipping off. While the cat was comfortably fast asleep inside the pet carrier as well, and is situated in the backseat of the car.
'Damn, tulog mantika si babae.' Cielo thought to herself.
She think of a way on how she'll wake Maki up. Siguro naman light sleeper ito.
"Hoy, gising na." Cielo said a little bit loud for waking up someone who's beside her. Luckily the cat didn't even budge. However, Maki on the other hand reacted quite the opposite, startled, agad siyang napabalikwas. She look around at nakita niya agad ang natatawang mukha ni Cielo. Sinamaan niya agad ito ng tingin.
'Light Sleeper nga.' Cielo thought.
"Now, we're even." Cielo said, composing herself and avert her attention to the windshield.
"What?" Maki ,still hung up on her drowsiness said.
"Wala, sabi ko we're here already. Pwede ka na bumaba, Mahal na prinsesa." Cielo said averting her attention back to the latter and flashed her a smile afterwards. A fake smile.
Maki being stunned all of a sudden by Cielo's smiling face, didn't move or react just yet. She sat there looking blankly at the older woman.
'Tangina. Panaginip ata 'to. Did she just smile?' Maki thought.
"Ano? I know, I'm good looking but please don't make it too obvious." Cielo said smirking mischievously at Maki. The latter couldn't help but roll her eyes at her boss comment. Cielo finding the amusement by the latter's response, let out a heartily chuckle.
'A smile and a laugh in just one night?! Ilang party pa ba ang magaganap para lagi ko 'tong masamahan.' Maki thought being baffled by Cielo's once in a lifetime reactions that she'll probably never get to come across ever again.
"Sino nga ba naman magbubuhat ng sariling bangko, kundi ang sarili lang din 'no?" Maki said pertaining to Cielo while shaking her head. Ini-abot ni Cielo ang pet carrier kay Maki. Naguguluhang tumingin ang dalaga kay Cielo.
"You should keep it." Cielo replied shortly.
"Seryoso ba? I can keep it?" Maki said taken aback.
"Alam mo nevermind, akin na, baka magbago pa isip mo." The latter immediately added as she reach for the pet carrier and take it out of the vehicle with gentle care.
Cielo could only shook her head in amusement.
"Thank you sa paghatid ha- wait, pano mo nalaman address ko?" May pagsusungit na saad ni Maki but immediately changes when she noticed that they were right in front of her house.
"I thought you are the ace of my company pero simpleng logic hindi ma-gets?" Cielo muttered that almost make Maki to scowl but instead she flashed the latter a smile, a fake smile.
"Goodnight and Goodbye too, Ms. Madrigal." After Maki said that, she closed the door right away. Make her way inside the comfort of her home, feeling like she was about to burst any moment if she stick around in her boss's presence.
'Lord, sinusubok niya talaga ang pasensya ko.' Maki thought to herself unlocking the door to her home.
While Cielo on the other hand, took off as soon as she saw Maki went inside the house. Feeling triumphant because she can feel the latter's annoyance just by looking at her despite the smile she just displayed. She didn't noticed the smile protruding on her lips.
