Maki sat on the bench her eyes roaming around the campus, noticing a few changes on the school grounds as she avoids the piercing gaze of her older sister, sitting right in front of her.
“Andaming nagbago na dito 'no? Grabe, it's four years na din kasi—” Maki commented.
“Anong nangyari?” Aphrodite said, jumping right into her questions, ignoring the latter's comment.
“Uh-ano...” Maki started, uttering almost a whisper.
The older girl fixed her gaze on her younger sister as she waited patiently to what she was about to say. It took a couple of minutes before she finished narrating what happened back at the restaurant and she waited for a while for her sister to finally take in what she just said. Aphrodite won't deny that it took her aback for a moment when Morgana's name got mention at noong nabanggit din ng dalaga na they were having lunch by themselves.
‘Just a little more, self. We'll be out of this country , malayo sa kung saan na nababanggit at nakikita ang babaeng iyon.’ Aphrodite thought.
The way that things ended between Aphrodite and Morgana wasn't that bad, in fact it's quite the opposite, the older girl was just feeling a little bitter. Kasi after all those years, malalaman niya na yung taong ginugusto niya is hanggang ngayon ay ginugusto pa rin si Maki. Aphrodite admits to herself that she still has feelings towards the redhead girl but if someone would ask her, she would probably denied it.
“So...does the news anchor girl and Cielo is dating?” Maki's smile immediately drops and she shook her head.
“I don't know and I won't know.” Maki muttered.
“Infairness sa acting mo bunso, akala ko nababaliw ka na.” Saad ni Aphrodite at sinundan ito ng tawa niya. Inirapan lang siya ni Maki dahil dito.
“Right, bakit ka pala napatawag kanina?” Maki perked the question she was awaiting to ask.
This time it was the older girl turn to look away. Basang basa ni Maki agad ang kapatid niya.
“What is it, Aphie?” May halong pag-aalala na tanong ni Maki dito, alam niyang dalawa lang ang dahilan ng ginagawi ng kapatid, the topic is either sensitive or it's a confession to make. Despite being curious about what it is that her sister wanted to say, she waited until the older girl is ready to speak.
“You know that I love you, right?” Aphrodite started heaving a breath.
“OMG. Are you dying?!” Maki exclaimed with exaggeration lacing on her voice and Aphrodite couldn't help but furrowed her eyebrows.
“What? No, I'm not.” Aphrodite said with a scoffed.
“Joke lang, alam kong ang pangit na biro pero anyways, ano ba 'yong gusto mong sabihin Aphie?” the other girl give her a hesitant look before speaking.
“I'll be going abroad after ng graduation and...I'm planning on staying there for good.”
“H-Huh?” feeling ni Maki ay bigla siyang nabingi sa sinabi ng kapatid.
Despite knowing na communication won't be that hard even if the older girl decided to travel towards the end of the globe, dahil nga sa makabagong mga teknolohiya, Maki couldn't help but to be saddened upon hearing the news.
