Step over the edge too far.
Open my hands that catch your wall.
Nothing to hear but my very own cry.
Far below the rocks and the sky above.
My angel. My angel.
Strange, as she appears.
Sabrina's oldest friend.
Sabrina could feel her hand physically touch, moving her hair from her face.
"Come back." Sabrina said, walking up a narrow staircase after a young girl, "Danielle?"
Danielle ran to the roof
"Get down from there!" Sabrina begged, "Come here. Let me hold you." She pleaded.
Then realization set in. Every step forward Sabrina took, Danielle took two backward.
Sabrina took a step back, causing Danielle to inch forward. She exhaled deeply as she looked ahead the young girl, who was a spitting image of her father.
Just out of her grasp.
Sabrina slowly inched toward Danielle, her lip trembling as Danielle crept toward the ledge of the roof, "Come here, please." She begged, her voice soft
"Come get me." Danielle whispered, holding her hand out for Sabrina
Sabrina could've sworn she felt her. She reached forward, placing her hand in Danielle's before she stood on the ledge beside her.
"Let go." Danielle whispered quietly
Sabrina looked at the ground and saw a hoard of people. Hershel, Dale, Caesar, Beth, Shane and a handful of people she didn't know. All victims of Sabrina's wrath.
"Let go. They'll catch you." Danielle whispered
"I'm afraid." Sabrina said quietly
"Let go." Danielle repeated
Sabrina stepped forward, before she let her body fall. She looked down, seeing the crowd had disappeared and been replaced with sharp, jagged rocks beside an active body of water.
Before her body could hit the surface, Sabrina awoke with a loud gasp. The room was still, quiet. The only noise came from the heavy breathing of Ares.
Daryl shifted, "I got you." He promised, use to Sabrina's night terrors already. He took Sabrina's hand, placing it on his firm chest
Sabrina felt his heartbeat, shaking slightly as she tried to regulate her breathing
Daryl kept his hand on top of Sabrina's, his eyes closed, but he was wide awake. He already knew the routine. Although his heart felt heavy with the pain that the love of his life was haunted by the past, he knew that if he paid too much attention to her night terrors she would pull away from him.
Sabrina felt a wave of nausea overwhelm her, "I'm gonna go get some water." She lied, crawling out of bed. She walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. Sabrina made her way down the stairs quietly and into the bathroom on the first floor. A quiet gag escaped her before she threw up
Daryl opened his eyes when he heard the bedroom door shut. He sat up, rubbing his eyes before jumping out of bed when he heard retching, "Sabrina?"
"Go away, please."
"No." Daryl said, walking into the bathroom, just as Sabrina flushed the toilet, "Baby kicking your butt?" He asked her
"No." Sabrina mumbled, tucking her hair behind her ear
