The next morning I awoke with the joy of realizing that stupid singing adventure was over. Well, I called it "stupid", but in reality, I enjoyed it. I'll miss hearing Jax sing- I'll miss singing with him, too.
I laid in my bed, staring at the ceiling as I remembered the events since I got here.
It's not so bad. I thought to myself. I've made friends.. and maybe even something more.
I sighed deeply, then forced myself out of bed and out the door.
I walked into the main room and scanned my surroundings. A bit of tension hung in the air- everybody seemed to be embarrassed from the previous day's adventure, along with the dread of whatever today's adventure would be. Nobody seemed to want to talk to each other, from fear of the other person bringing up something about their singing voice.
I sighed again, then plopped down on the couch. I stared up at the ceiling, studying the bright colors when I was interrupted by the couch sinking in the weight of something settling down next to me. I turned and looked up at the purple bunny.
"..What will we do when- if- we escape?" I asked quietly.
He just stared into the empty space in front of him with a blank face. "I dunno."
We stayed silent for a moment, but then I spoke up, "Do you think we'll recognize each other?"
He hummed, then looked down at me, his expression still unreadable. "I think I'd remember someone as pretty as you."
"..But what if you don't like what I look like in the real world?"
"What if I'm pregnant in the real world?"
"What?"
"My bad, I thought we were naming things that were impossible."
I smiled and blushed, which made him grin.
He put his arm around me. "We'll find a way outta here, and I'll find my way to you."

Weeks had passed, and strange things started happening. Like, real strange.
Jax was getting more reclusive and quiet, the adventures had been shorter than usual (which I wasn't really complaining about), the days and nights would be different lengths every day, and worst of all, Caine had begun glitching.
Not like before, though. These were real glitches- like abstraction glitches. I tried to shake it off, but it was hard when everywhere you turned was tight with tension.
We were now walking into a portal back to the circus. We had just gone on a shark fishing adventure, but Jax stayed behind. He'd been doing that for days now, and I had to admit it worried me. He wouldn't let me in his room anymore and we hardly talked now. Something was going on, and I was fixed on figuring it out.
"Welcome back my athletic space hedgehogs!" Caine exclaimed happily as we stumbled into the living room single-file.
There was a small murmur from us all in response.
I looked around the room, and the purple bunny wasn't on his usual spot on the couch. My anxiety spiked a little. Even though he didn't really tag along anymore, he would always wait for me on the end of the sofa, now he wasn't there.
"Ragatha?" I asked. "Have you seen Jax anywhere today?"
"Hm? No.. No I haven't. Why?" She looked down at me sympathetically.
"I've just been a little.. worried about him."
She hummed. "Do you want me to go check his room with you?"
