What I remember of Halloween was that my father would decorate the house, put a green spotlight on the front porch, carve the pumpkins, and start with sound effects! This brought a chill down my spine in a good way! I knew that time of year was coming to me andI was wth glee as I saw the green light! I started trick or treating since I was three years old and I was in love with Halloween, even to this Day I still do Halloween and trick or treating (yes even it age 35 I trick or treat). I love the sense of adventure and dress up the way I actually want to and doing my make up the way I wanted to as well! As this is still my favourite time of year- the spooky season!
When I was a kid I would dress up as an alien, a witch or something involving the colour green; I was obsessed with that colour.....to put it politely! When I got to the third grade I was went as I dead pharaoh and that one gave me me nightmares for a few months as I was petrified of the pharophs as a kid! - don't ask me why? A) little kid and B) did not understand the concept of ancient cultures that were "spooky too me." As I went into the fourth grade I was a pumpkin but couldn't wear green as it was a school night! Damn. For the first while my father took me trick or treating but by 6th grade I was going trick or treating with my gaggle of friends! Back then I had a wack load of friends, before my PTSD symptoms came to surface! But then after that I had to go with the neighbourhood kids as I was friendless and a loner and my parent were worried about my safety, there was a serial killer around at the time so I had to find someone to take me trick or treating! In my high school years I would dress up as a samurai wth authentic clothing and hair! It was fun! Then I started going as a Japanese Yakuza for trick or treating! Know I just let my mind wonder as the years go by!
As you can tell I love everything about Halloween and horror, creepypasta included too!
To me and some alternative people Halloween is not a day on the calendar nor just one day......it is a life style that come and stays with you down to the very last breath! I find this true with me as I dress off colour - not in a smutty way but in a more cosplay way or how my mood is! Never revealing clothing! Hell I don't even wear shorts in the summer!
To thing that Halloween is a day and just that you are abnormal as I am one to express myself with clothing and make up! Sometime when I model (with clothing that has good coverage) I paint my face and go out in the forest and start modeling and possibly I front of my camera ( iPad or smart phone!)
This is a "day" that you cannot shake off as once you contract the Halloween bug it's with you for life and it bio safety level 4! And I must say the spirit of Halloween is more contagious than covid or Ebola!Jazz I even remember my first stargazing session since I was a wee kid was on Halloween! That night was perfect for both telescope/naked eye stargazing and trick or treating! That was the Halloween that would rock my world! That was when I really contracted the Halloween bug! And as I said, it with you to the end!
