3. d̶a̶d̶, mr. park

" Jimin..."

The man in front of Jimin spoke in a low tone. His facial muscles are getting more tensed up on seeing him instead of relaxing. His cold voice is enough to send chills to the other people gathered there.

The man walked with slow but heavy steps towards Jimin. He adjusted his spectacles and examined Jimin's body from head to toe, sighing as he observed the injuries on his skinny frame.

" How-"

" You don't look too happy seeing me, Mr. Park."

Jimin cut him in between of his speech. His voice sounded bitter and distant when he addressed his father as Mr. Park.

Everyone around them gasps as the father-son tandem stares at each other fiercely, as if they were in a staring duel with no one willing to back down first. This was not what others imagined the reunion to look like.

" Jimin !"

His father shouts in hushed tones, clenching his fist. He was incredibly stressed about the matter that he had to leave all of his work behind to get home when he found out Jimin hadn't returned. Once he was certain it was a kidnapping, he used all of his connections to find his son.

But now that Jimin had arrived, his stress level had increased significantly. He is fully aware that their relationship is strained, but he expected Jimin to act more appropriately once he returned home.

" Do you know how worried I was about you?"

He talks softly, attempting to contain his anger. There were important people and his juniors present right now, and he couldn't afford to lose control in front of them. He has an image that he wants to maintain.

Jimin sneered at his father's unusual tone; he couldn't recall the last time his father spoke to him in such hushed tones; only his mother did. His memories of his father are filled with wrath and yelling.

" Well, I wasn't kidnapped for that long. I thought you wouldn't even notice."

Jimin knew his father would notice right away; his father always monitored his location using the tracking device on his phone, and he always checked in with the housekeepers to see if he had returned or not. However, Jimin saw this as his father's dominating persona rather than his worrying act.

" Enough, Jimin."

His father tries to prevent Jimin from damaging his name; everyone is aware of the father and son's broken relationship, but no one expected Jimin to harbor resentment toward his father.

Jimin notices his father's hanging head, and while it doesn't provoke any feelings in him, he isn't that awful of a person to drag out his family conflict in front of others, so he decides to hold onto his emotions for a while longer.

" This is Yoongi, he is the one who saved me." He abruptly turns to Yoongi, making him the center of attraction, which Yoongi was not prepared for. He looked around uneasily and walked forward when Jimin gave him a gentle nudge.

" Min Yoongi, nice to meet you Sir."

Yoongi extended his hand, and Jimin's father gratefully accepted it.

" Park Jinuk."

Jinuk introduced himself with a swift shift in expression. He quickly calmed down and shook Yoongi's hand with a pleasant grin.

" Mr. Min, Please let me know how I can repay you for saving my son's life.

Money wasn't something he had to worry about so Jinuk was ready to give Yoongi as much as he asked for.
