18. i told the stars about you

" Jungkook ah, what are you trying to do?"
Yoongi asks when it was just the two of them in the room.
He has been observing Jungkook's actions and knows how strangely he was behaving. Him trying to act so affectionate with him, when Jungkook knows damn well he hates it. He can't pinpoint what the younger has in his mind.

" I'm just helping you, hyung."
Jungkook says, showing his smile.

" Gguk ah, what are you really planning?"
Yoongi is suspicious of Jungkook's smile. He has spent enough time with the younger to know what's really going on in his little head and he already has an inkling of what he's trying to do.

" I'm helping you score a boyfriend."
Yoongi pressed his palm to his head, he should have understood it before why Jungkook decided to suddenly show up here. It wasn't just to meet him, he had an ulterior motive.

But whatever Jungkook's doing is backfiring, he saw those expressions on Jimin's face; the same expressions he had whenever he was feeling alone in the crowd. Yoongi never wanted Jimin to feel like that in his presence.

" Hyung, why are you reacting like that ?"
Jungkook pouts seeing Yoongi's expressions. He thought Yoongi would be happy with him helping, as he knows how long it'll take Yoongi to confess his feelings without his help.

He was just trying to agitate Jimin a little hoping that if not Yoongi then maybe Jimin can confess his feelings first. He has seen the way Jimin looks at Yoongi, the way his eyes widen when he gets close to Yoongi. He was filled with jealousy and it was a sign that Jimin reciprocates Yoongi's feelings.

" I was just trying to help you, I know how much you love Jimin hyung. I can't see you being in this state."
Jungkook was the first to know about Yoongi's little crush, he was even the one who encouraged Yoongi to confess his feelings to Jimin from day one. Seeing his confident hyung turn into a shy, heartbroken mess wasn't what he was expecting. It was a whole new side of Yoongi that he hadn't seen before.

" What state ?"
Yoongi asks, confused, not quite understanding what Jungkook means by that.

" The hopeless romantic, who wishes for nothing more than just one person but doesn't dare to make a move. How would Jimin hyung know you love him if you don't confess your love to him!"
Jungkook is now tired of giving the same advice to Yoongi over and over again.
There was a time in his life where Yoongi encouraged him to go confess his feelings to his crush and thanks to that he has a loving boyfriend now. He's so happy with him and he wants his hyung to feel that happiness too. The happiness of loving and being loved.

Yoongi sighs at that, he wants to do that too. He wants to let out his feelings too. He used to be a confident person before, one who was never afraid of rejection. He always used to think highly of himself, someone who nobody would turn down. But maybe it was because he never feared being rejected by those people before, because they didn't matter to him.

But Jimin, saying that Yoongi's world revolves around him wouldn't be an understatement.

" It's not the right time, gguk. Jimin just came out of a toxic relationship, I don't think he'd be ready for another one right now."
He has seen Jimin hurting, even though Jimin might not show it on his face he can see right through him. The betrayal has hurt him so much, after all Jimin's love for Minjae was sincere.

" Isn't it great? That means Jimin hyung is single right now, you should confess your feelings before someone else does."
Jungkook tries to make Yoongi see the silver lining in the situation.

Yoongi only sighs at Jungkook's statement, if only it was that easy.

" I don't know how he's feeling after what happened, I'm not sure if he'll ever want to fall in love again. I'm the only person he has right now, what if he starts to distance from me ? I'm happy being his bodyguard, at least I get to be close to him."
Yoongi waited for Jimin to bring up the topic of Minjae but Jimin never did, so Yoongi doesn't know how Jimin is feeling right now. Jimin was so hesitant to accept his feelings for Minjae so he's afraid it'd be even more difficult after getting his heart broken.
