17. unknown danger

Jimin looks at Yoongi with a look of helplessness in his eyes. He feels scared, not because his life was in danger but because he knows that Yoongi would put his life in danger just to save him. He wishes for Yoongi to just run away from this situation and save himself but he knows Yoongi isn't that kind of person.

Yoongi has kept his expressions calm through all this chaos. He didn't listen to the perpetrator and instead started walking towards them with slow steps.

“ I said don't move.”
The man repeats again, this time more loudly. But Yoongi isn't the one to listen; he keeps walking forward.

“ Yoongi no !”
Jimin tries to stop Yoongi from walking into the lion's den. He doesn't care about his life right now, all he cares about is Yoongi. He doesn't want to see Yoongi in that lifeless state again.

“ That's enough.”
Yoongi speaks in a strict tone. His heart hurts to see Jimin like that. He can't see the scared expressions on Jimin's face.

The perpetrator chuckles lightly at that and finally releases his grip on Jimin.
Just as Jimin was set free, he ran towards Yoongi with all his might. But instead of hiding behind him, he stood in front of Yoongi, extending his arms to act as his shield. It was as if he was Yoongi's bodyguard and not the other way around.

The perpetrator started to laugh even more at that and Jimin finally looked up to see his face. He was shocked, because the person in front of him was nothing like how he imagined him to be. He had expected a buff man in his middle age with a face expression so grim that it'd send chills just by taking one glance.

But the person in front of him was young, maybe a couple years younger than him. He had a sweet grin on his face, his bunny teeth showing when he laughed. He wore a loose white t-shirt and black pants. His hairs scattered over his forehead giving him an innocent vibe.

Jimin couldn't understand who this man was and why he just did what he did.

“ Don't worry, he's not gonna harm us.”
Yoongi said as he tried to relax Jimin from his defense position. Seeing the protective nature of Jimin towards him certainly gave him butterflies in his stomach. Just thinking about Jimin caring so much about him is enough to send him into spirals. His heart is acting up again and he looks at Jimin with heart eyes.

It was not until the person standing in front of them cleared his throat that Yoongi came out of his love trance.

Yoongi stroked Jimin's back and gave him a relaxing smile before he started walking towards the person.
The person expecting a welcoming hug from Yoongi opened his arms wide, but instead Yoongi pulled his ear.

“ Ahh, hyung.”
He whined, trying to make Yoongi leave his ear.

“ Look at how scared he is, you need to tone down your pranks.”
Yoongi said in a scolding voice, taking his hand off the younger's ear.

“ Sorry, hyung.”
He said with a sheepish grin on his face. He wasn't trying to scare Jimin or Yoongi, he just wanted to have a little fun.

“ Sorry, Jimin.”
He says turning to Jimin.
Jimin who was already in shock from their interaction became even more shocked by the boy calling him by his name.

“ You- know me?”
He asks, pointing at himself. He was taken aback by that because he has never seen this person before.

“ Yeah, you're Park Jimin, the boy hyung is taking care of.”
He says it with a sweet smile, but Jimin didn't find his words that sweet.

“ Boy? Tell me what year you were born in ?”
Jimin was really starting to get pissed about this person not using honorifics with him. And how dare this guy call him a ‘boy’ when he himself acts no less than a child ?
