Chapter 1

After that incident. All of the knights are summoned back when the sun raised. A meeting was called. The incident was reported to the grandmaster. Of course, a new gossip print is circulating around their nation. Saying that they weren't good enough to capture the thieves last night.

She will strangle the writers of those newsprint.

Aella who's still silent, grinned. A notebook is hidden on her uniforms pocket. She grinned more widely. She managed to steal his notebook while trying to pretend that she is a damsel in distress. She stole from the thief. It happened to be his plan diary.

"We need a better investigation about this incident." The grandmaster said. "Aella" He called her attention. "Let's talk privately." She nodded at him.

They entered his office. She sat at the chair in front of his table.

"I just want to ask all of the information you know about the thief." He asked and leaned back to his chair, waiting for her answers.

"I stole his notebook." She grabbed the notebook out of her pocket and out it on the desk. "It contains a lot of their plans."

Grandmaster grabbed the notebook and opened it. "This is brilliant. This will lead us to their location." He glanced at her. "I knew you're good since the day I saw you applying to the Knights." The praises made her smile.

"Now, I want you to lead every investigation and report all of your findings to me. We will setup a stage for them. They want to play and we will give them a game. We will use this intel to draw them out. Wait for our next meeting. You may now do your job." The grandmaster seems so proud of her that makes her day lighten.

She leaved the office and start her day by investigating the last night scene.

The thieves didn't get what they wanted last night. The owner of the house screamed and got the attention of the whole neighborhood. They immediately ran and escaped except to their leader who bumped into her.

They planned to stole an artifact of the family. Artifacts are known for their high value. They can sell it in a high price that's why they eyed that item.

Knights posted a warning on the news board on every village about the items that could be the next interest of the thieves.

Arriving at the last scene. They investigate how those thieves entered the premises. It seems that they use the chimney and use the anemo vision to not cause any loud noises. Nothing is unusual to the door and windows that wound indicate that it was use. The chimney was full of footprints, and obviously it was from those thieves. Some footprints around the house also have the ashes from the chimney.

This is not the first time they entered a house using a chimney. They also use an elemental sight device to see the elemental remains. They saw an anemo remains that was use to enter the house.

"They need to blocked every possible entrance including the chimney." Aella said and Theo nodded. She writes it down to her own notebook. She needs to gather a lot of information to report. She wants a useful one.

They're both at the last scene. At the garden of the house, trying to investigate more. "Did you notice his eyes? They're blue. Just like the guy we met at the village of Moonrise Mountains. His tone and playfulness are the same with him." She got the attention of Theo.

She raised her left brow at him. His eyes widened as if he realized something. "You're right. They could be the same person."

"Why didn't you even realize that? I thought you familiarize his eyes last night. I'm waiting for you to open it up to me. You're not an observable person." She put her arms at her waist and tease him.

"I'm not like you. You stared at his eyes that day like you've fallen already. Of course, you would notice it because you miss those eyes." He teased her back. Her grinned vanished. "No. I'm not." She denied every accusation he said.

"You didn't fall for him or didn't miss him."

She rolled her eyes at him. "Both." She answered.

"I can tell that you enjoyed his back hug to you last night. What is the feeling of his body against you?" Theo teased her more and made her remember him more.

Her face turned red. "Shut up, Theo or else I will hunt you in your dreams." She threatened him to stop him from teasing her.

She took a deep breath when she heard him again. "So, what did the two of you do when we were trying locate you? Did you two make out? Kiss? Wait, why are you turning red?" He taunted her. "Are you blushing?" She scowled. He chuckled.

Why did they even pair him to her? Please, God of anemo. Give me more patience. I might kill this guy.

"I'm not blushing and will you please stop teasing me. I will suture your mouth." She even pointed his mouth. Theo just laughed and while his lips are together. They leave the place together and head to their next destination.

The Dandelionville.

They both starred at the burned houses. Stares of the Villagers are like a dagger that stabbing them. They're mad. Effects of the gossip print.

Nothing else could be seen at crime scene except at the burned things. So, they asked the owners.

"They stole all of the golds and artifacts of our family." All of their answers are the same. Golds and artifacts. Good thing they don't harm people. They only stole and burn houses.

"All we need to do is to go to that house at Moonrise Mountains and see if he's still there. Aella is mad. He doesn't need to burn the houses. Stealing is a crime and burning the house you robbed is worse. She can't bear to see these family thrive to build a house. They're not wealthy enough to get a house immediately. Now, she understands why people of their nation are mad at them. Those thieves need to be captured as soon as possible.

"Don't. You're just emotional. We need to tell the grandmaster about this information. We need a better plan to raid that house. It could be their den. They have vision. We are no match to them." Theo stopped her.

After they visited all of the crime scenes, they immediately head back to their headquarters to attend the last meeting of the day.

All of them gathered now in their huge hall.

The Grandmaster stood up in front. "Thank you for gathering here tonight. Throughout the day I received a good item that help me to think of a game we need to give. On that item, all of their next plan is written. Their next target is the ancient flute and lyre that is located at the cathedral, the lot title of grape farm of Mr. Alberich. Lastly, they want to robbed the Gemstone shop." He stops and looks at us. "These are the places we need to guard.

"But what if they already know that we know their next targets. They could change targets and we are all in those places and we are not able to respond to the victims immediately." Sarah interrupt.

"That's a great argument." Said by the grandmaster. He continued. "That's why I chose this Knights for those three places. Cathedral, Theo and Andreas. Otto and Henrich, you two are going to guard the gemstone shop. For the house of Mr. Alberich, it's the captain Kieran and Aella."

Aella's eyes widened in shock. "Me? Why me, grandmaster?" This is a big case and they don't usually involve her to these types of cases.

The grandmaster forehead creased. "Why not? I've heard that you almost captured the thief with a pyro vision and you're with your captain. He needs a great healer." She is more shocked to learn that the grandmaster knows her abilities.

"You trust me." Aella asked. Her heart beats faster.

"Yes. I'm all aware that you're a great fighter and healer. You can do this. You can capture them."

Sarah spoke. "Grandmaster, it seems that she doesn't want the case. I can do her part." Sarah really knows how to annoy her. Aella can't help but to glared at her. Such a bitch.

Aella spoke before the grandmaster could react. "No. I accept it, grandmaster." She said and glanced at Sarah who's glaring at her. Clearly jealous at her. She winked at Sarah to tease her more. She laughed quietly.

"So, it's all okay. I will tell now the whole plot." Then the grandmaster proceeds to tell to them his huge plan. Gave them the game they wanted.
