Heartache and betrayal.

That's the only thing she can feel the moment she read her mother's file. In her whole life, she didn't see her mother to do something bad to other. Her mother is the kindness and sweetest person she knew that she never thought that she was a criminal.

Aella felt betrayed.

The only person she trust is hiding a dirty past, well not anymore.

She put the file on her sling bag and went out of the room when she saw Kai, who was stunned to see her.

"What are you doing here?! Did you did these?" Kai said angrily. He looked at her angrily and pointed the unconscious men of Richart on the floor.

She nodded. "I followed you here and did these." She answered to him. She don't want to argue with him so she just answered him and never said anything more.

"Why? You just endangered yourself." Kai said to her. He's frustrated.

"I not harmed." She argued to him.

"We're going to go home now. Father must be on his way home." He said to her, still angry and turned his back on her and walked away.

She just walked behind him. Doing what he's instructing her. The people who saw her, just dropped their jaws and did nothing.

The two of them are silent the whole time they're walking back to his house. Until they reached his house, no one dared to talk. She feel him. He is mad and angry. Of course, he's mad because you followed him and cause some damage, she thought.

She's is sitting on his bed. Waiting for him so that they could talk, when he entered the room and he looked at her and their eyes met. The papers and files she got from his father's office are scattered on her mattress.

Still no one, talked until she broke the silence.

"Could we talk?" She asked him. He just stand after he closed the door, staring at her again.

"First, I'm sorry because I followed you. But I think that is the only way so that I could go to that place. I didn't regret anything that I did." She explained to him but he didn't said response.

"Are you that mad? That you don't want to talk to me." She said softly.

"I thought I left you here, safe and sound, sleeping. Then to only found out that you knocked down my father's men and stole papers and files. What do you want me to feel? Of course, I'm mad." He exploded but he didn't shouted at her but he said those words calmy.

"And why? Why would you go there? And this night isn't the only time you went out. For several times. I would just want to know what is your purpose of going out at night and the worse thing is you went this time to go to your father's house, the den of those thieves. It's dangerous, you know that." Aella argued. She tried her best to be calm like him.

She doesn't want to shout and add fuel to their arguments.

"I'm trying to fix my relationship with my father—"

She cut him. "What?! Why?" She almost shouted but her voice raised a bit. Why would he do that? She thought he have a change of heart. That he hate his father because of his doings.

"Because, I'm helping you!" He raised his voice. "I'm going to help you gather things before I'll let you go back to the city. And yet you cause something that will cause my father to hate you more and kill you." He stopped.

He's helping her. He's planning to get evidences for her but she just went there and destroyed his plan.

"Why you didn't tell me your plan?" She asked him.

"Because, I don't want to involve you in my father's wrath."

"I will be involved whether you like it or not because in your father's eyes, I'm the reason why you're doing this."

"Yes, I know that." He answered

She stood up. "Then, why are you doing this? Why are you so invested in my safety, in me? Why do care about me----"

He cut her and moved towards her. "Because, I like you. No, I think I love you. That's the reason, I almost had a heart attack when I saw you there." He answered.

She was stunned at his word, speechless rather.

He loves her.

"I was so worried of you. You didn't what I felt that time. I discovered something about myself that shattered my world, the only thing that calm me is you and there you fought those bastards. I thought you were harmed. When I saw your bloody clothes, your face, you made me calm but you're also the reason I will lose myself." He confessed softly and her words brought pain to her heart.

Aella do have an idea about his feeling but she thought is wasn't deep like this. She never received a care like his. This isn't the first time a man confessed to her. She rejected a lot of man who confessed to her but this time is different.

"You said that you want me to be safe but you kidnapped me. If you love me like you said you will let me do things that I want. Because that is love." She said to him.

She thought he kidnapped her to used her to his enemies. To torture her like what his father did to her. But Kai didn't, instead he brought her to his home, fed her, and trained her to become the strong Knight she wants.

"I kidnapped you because when I saw you giving documents about the thieves, about me, you were the most beautiful woman I ever seen. You look like an angel who needs to be protected. You're a Knight and I'm so worried when I encountered you that night. The moment I saw you, I want to protect you. So, please. Stay here and do something that makes me worried." He answered.

Her cheeks heated. Aella can't take his words. He called her the most beautiful woman he even seen. She wanted to smile.

"I'm sorry that I made you worried and you're gorgeous too the first time—"

"Ohh damnit!" He groaned before he cupped her face and pressed his lips against hers, stunning her.

Aella closed her eyes, and feel his lips. It's soft and hot. His warm hand went to her hips and the other went hand slid into her hair, destroying her combed hair.

Kai started moving his lips, licking her bottom lip, nipping it and sucking it. He pressed his body closer to her and even though they aren't naked, she can feel the heat and sensation that spreading though her body.

She wrapped both hands around his neck and let his tongue enter and kiss him back. She opened her mouth and groaned when his tongue explored her mouth. She could feel his greediness.

Kai's hand went to her neck and deepened the kiss, devouring her lips. His kisses made her mind shut down and all the think she could think is to kiss him back. His kisses and lips.

Kai's kisses went from soft to rough, but she didn't complained and answered his kisses. Aella just focused on what her body needs, she need him.

Aella gasped for some air when Kai released her lips and he kissed her neck, jaw and the back of her ears.

It was the roughest kiss Aella has ever experienced. She thinks her lips are swollen but she didn't care and asked Kai for another breathtaking kiss. "Kiss me again."

Kai didn't said anything but he immediately kissed her and mashed their lips together for another hungry kiss.
