Chapter 13

Pretending is one of her talents. After becoming a Knight a lot of times, she was used to pretend to capture criminals and now Aella is doing it again. Pretending that she didn't know nothing and nothing was happened. Eating peacefully with the girls after she let them know that she believed their alibi.

She asked where is Kai and the three ladies lied to her or maybe they didn't know too, where is Kai exactly. She pretended.

"If may I ask. Where are your families?" Aella asked to them while they're eating their breakfast. She's curious, what happened to them and why they turned into thieves.

"Why did you ask?" Barbara asked her.

"I just curious if the three of you have your families. It's you're day off yesterday and you spend the time with me and Kai instead to your families." Aella answered.

"We don't have families and friends except for Kai." Lyndsey also said. Now Aella become more curious. She wanted to asked what happened but she saw the sad face of the girls. She stopped herself.

"Our parents died that's according to Richart. They were killed by the knights after they learned where our parents lived. Our parents are thieves that's why we became a thief also. We grew up with Kai because Richart trained up to be come a great warrior who can fight Knights." Febbie said that shocked her.

"I'm sorry for what happened. That must be hard for the three of you." She said. After hearing their stories, she realized that these girls are also victim of him. "I hope you're not mad at me. I'm a Knight." She added.

Richart is probably the name of Kai's father.

Barbara smiled at her. "Don't worry we're not mad."

"Growing up we hated the Knights because that is Richart thought us. But the real villain is them. I understand why our parents died and killed by the Knights because of what they cause to the people of Aerthys. We saw how evil they can be." Febbie said. Aella is glad that they have a change of heart.

"We want a change. We don't our names and face on the wanted list. We want to be free. Free to do what we want without the fear of getting caught and imprisoned. A normal life is we want." Lyndsey said. She felt her. Them.

Growing up without a family is hard and the fear they feel every day. It broke heart knowing that she was once to capture them and put in prison. But they are victims and she will help them. The world are so cruel.

"But you know the identities of you families, parents?" Aella asked. 

"No." Barbara answered that made her brows furrowed in confusion.

"Why?"

"Because Richart said that it was useless and they already dead so what's is point of knowing them." Febbie said. "We tried too to know them and asked others but no one could give us answers and it's like when they died their identity banished. No records at all."

Something clicked in Aella's mind. Something is not right. Someone might be hiding some secrets.

"One last question, is these also kidnapping happened." Aella asked them.

"No kidnapping happened except for you. Kai kidnapped you. But there is a Kidnapping plan that was talked about in the last meeting we attended." Febbie answered that made her shocked. She need to let the knights know about this plan.

"A kidnapping plan? That's is too evil." She reacted.

"This plan should be prevented. I need to report this to the Knights." Aella added.

"But you can't and Kai will never let you." Febbie said. It true though. Aella agreed to Kai request to train her and stay for weeks until he will let go of her. But her progress in her trainings are too slow.
