Chapter 27

Kai's pov

After the what happened to me. The fear or dying, never left me alone. Everyday, I always have this thought that I'll die and I'll fail again. Fail her.

I stared at her innocent face. So innocent, but when she's awake, she's a brave tigress. Her lashes are long enough, her full lips that inviting. She's perfect. I can still see, some wounds, but she's still pretty. Aella, her name engraved on my brain.

Days passed and we're alone in my house together. Those days are fun for me. I annoyed her, eat with her, sleep with her in one room. Watch her sleep, wash her clothes, cook our meals. She's ready to be my wife.

I'm so delusional. She's always in my dreams. She's there, my wife.

When she decided to train herself, I applied to be her trainer, but she rejected me. For the first, we had a serious fight. I want to help her, so that, when the time I'll let her go, she's ready and strong enough to fight criminals.

I don't want her to be stuck with me for a long time. I know, she has her life in the city. Life that she build for years, and her family, that must be worries about her. We had an arrangement. She will let me help her to improve her skills and she will stay for weeks and after that I will let her go back to the city.

One thing I learned about her that I don't like, while I'm training her. She complains a lot. That's why we bickers for a lot of times.

"I can't do thirty laps in instant." Aella said and sat on the ground, while catching her breath. There she is, complaining again. "Maybe after a few days." She added and showed me her cute face.

She's using her beautiful face to soften me. I'm a strong man, I'm not affected. I almost give up on her and let her in her wish but I didn't.

"Twenty-laps. That's final." I said with full authority. I'm being professional here and she's not.

I also learned that her last trainer is the motherfucking Keiran. Her ex-crush also. Now, I understand why their troops are so weak, because he is the trainer. They should fire him as the trainer. He sucks. I didn't know what they saw on him. He's not on the level of my charisma and face card.

Aella and Febbie must be so blind on the truth.

Aella used that Keiran guy on me. She will tell me about him, to annoy me. I want to punch his face, or just erase him from this world. I planned his death because Aella had a crush on him.

Hoping to help her more. I came back to my father, not to be his dog again, but to know his moves. Every night, after making sure that she is asleep, I'm sneaking out to go back to my father's mansion. Talking to his secretary, guards to squeeze some information. But I got nothing. Not even a single information about their next plan.

So, I tried to get my father's trust again, to fool him.

"Give me the girl, and I'll accept you here with open arms." He said his condition to me. I remained silent. I can't. I can't give her and let her in his hands.

"You can't?" My father said and a small smile appeared on his lips.

"I will think about it." That's the last words I said before I leave the mansion and get back to my house.

He can't accept me and trust me again. I know that I can't use my place in his life as his son, because he is a heartless father. He just see me as a weapon, and his men. He wants to use me for his bad deeds, to have more power. Maybe that's why my mother died early, because he is useless and he never cared to the people around him, aside himself.

Aella and I became close to each other. We learned things about us and our family and we came across about our mothers. I learned that her family is residing at the same place where my mother live. And a question entered my mind. What really happened to my mother? Is she really my mother of just one of my father's plans.

Completely blinded by the wanting to know the truth, I went back to my father's mansion and I looked for my mother's photo inside of my room. Frustrated of everything, I didn't care of everything and I flipped everthing to find that photo. I found it between of my old notebook.

I didn't think twice and I used my horse to go to the Starlight mountains. It took me one hour to go to there.

I faced the door of the first house that I saw and knocked aggressively. A man opened the door and he was about to greet me when I asked him immediately. I'll not going to waste any time here.

"Do you know this woman? Where is she?" I asked him and showed the photo.

He looked at the photo and then to me. "That's Ellaina. Her house in one the east side....."

Then I found her. My mother turns out to be Aella's mother. That is the reason why she look like her. I thought, I just miss mother so much, that I could see her in Aella's face.

"Then are you my mother?" I asked her.

Silently begging to her to say no.

"No." She answered and the heart ache lessened. We couldn't be sister and brother. No way.

I was about to leave and I turned my back on her, when Ellaina, Aella's mother spoke. "Are you with my daughter? Aella? Tell me. Is she okay?"

I faced her again. Tears from her eyes are rolling down to cheeks. I can imagine Aella's face on her. "She's safe and okay." I answered and leaved.

Father lied. He lied! I'm furious and about to stormed on my father when a disaster happened and Aella is involved.

I saw her on the door of my father's restricted office with her bloody clothes, face and limbs. I thought she's harm. My heart is racing so fast that I dragged her back to my house and we're shouting on each other.

Then in the middle of are arguments, I confessed my feelings. I can't explain to her why I'm here. Why I care about her so much and eager to help her and betray my father.

I kissed her. I thought she will push me away and fight me about the kiss, but I'm wrong. Aella kissed me back and accept my kisses. All of my worries and heart aches disappeared.

The next morning, Febbie stormed in and delivered a news to us that the Knights declared Aella as a traitor. What the hell?!
