The Love Sea cast had been meeting at Peat's house to watch the airing of the next episode; Fort was the first to arrive, but Peat knew something was up with him from the second Fort stepped through his front door. He didn't want to pry— maybe he was just overreacting. Even having that in mind, though, he could tell Fort's fake smile from his real smile.

"You okay?" Peat asks softly, looking over at Fort who is staring straight ahead, barely moving.
Fort plasters the fake smile back on his lips and nods.
Moving closer, Peat touches Fort's cheek, turning his face towards his own. "Hey," he says softly, rubbing Fort's cheek softly. "You always take care of me. Let me take care of you now, okay?"
Fort remains still, unable to speak a reply as Peat raises a hand to brush back the hair from his forehead, grabbing Fort's hand, pulling it towards him and pressing it against his chest. "Do you feel that?" He asks softly, moving forward to press a kiss to Fort's temple. "My heartbeat. Do you feel it? Focus on that, my love."

When Fort looks at Peat, there are unshed tears in his eyes. Peat nods, reaching forward and pulling Fort to his chest, cradling his head gently. It only takes mere seconds and Fort is sobbing against him, his tears soaking through the soft fabric of his shirt. Peat rubs his back soothingly,

Behind them, the front door opens and closes at Chanya comes in, followed closely by Aya— both of them unsure what exactly it is that they have walked into. Glancing up, Peat meets their eyes but he's unsure what to say. The three of them do their best to help calm Fort as they wait for Forth to arrive.

Calmed down, Fort sticks close to Peat for the rest of the evening. He presses himself close to Peat on the couch, resting his head on Peat's shoulder. Truthfully, even he wasn't sure what had happened or what was wrong. He had woken up that morning feeling sad and it had stuck throughout the day.

If he was honest, he didn't want to go home once the watch party ended. He wanted to stay here in Peat's arms, where he felt safe and comfortable. Where his mind was at least a little bit calm and his sadness seemed to have ebbed away. He wouldn't ask, though; he didn't want to bother Peat any more than he already had.

As their friends left and the night wound down, Fort felt himself getting more and more anxious when he thought about leaving. He glanced at Peat, who he felt had been watching him and gave him a soft smile. It wasn't fake this time, at least.

Peat reached out caressing Fort's cheek softly with a soft smile on his lips. "Don't go home tonight." He says, meeting Fort's eyes. "Stay here. With me."
Fort opens his mouth but Peat holds up his hand. "No. I don't want you to go home. I want you to stay here."
"I don't want to—" Fort begins.
"You're not going to bother me, Fort. I know that you don't want to go home, either. Just stay here with me."
Peat looks into Fort's eyes, holding his face in hands, leaning forward and pressing a soft kiss against Fort's lips. "Okay?"
Fort nods and leans forward, cuddling up to Peat once again.

That night they cuddled up together in Peat's bed. Peat hoped that tomorrow would be a better day for Fort as he rubbed his back gently, his other hand stroking his head. Fort was sleepy, he could barely keeps his eyes open as he leaned his head back to look at Peat, a smile on his lips.
"I love you," he mumbles sleepily.
Peat smiles, leaning forward to kiss Fort's lips lightly. "I love you, Fort."
Fort nods, pulling Peat back to him and kissing him longer. Even this was a little sign Fort was feeling even just a bit better. Peat smiled against Fort's lips.
Pulling back, he murmured, "Sleep."
Fort nestled his head into Peat's shoulder, almost instantly drifting off to sleep.
