Young America POV
A few weeks have gone by and China and I continue our weekly talks on Fridays. Confederate tried to get China to go hangout with her on Fridays, but he always refuses. I love him for that.
We walk near the little pond where all the ducks are with their families. China holds my hand, smiling softly at me. "Did Confetti tell you?" He asks.
I nod, "she said she hates it when you don't follow her plans, but then she likes how predictable you are; she still likes you."
China sighs, kicking a rock, "I thought I gave her signs that I didn't like her."
I scoff, "signs? You hold her hand, say sweet words to her, make her feel special. How are those signs?"
He shrugs, "maybe not then. I'll see what I can do with her in the future."
I stare at him curiously, "what do you have in mind?"
He smirks, "I can play with her. She'll be my puppet!"
I glare, "China! That's a bad idea. Besides, Father can't even control her!"
"I think I learned enough psychology to try." China states.
I giggle, "when did you even start liking psychology? All I talk about is freedom."
"Ever since my little brother started trying to blame everything on me. 妈妈 always listen to him so I was fed up! Now I'm using it against him so he will be the one in trouble," China grins with pride.
"I guess we both have problems with our siblings," I sigh.
He frowns, "did Confetti do something to you?"
"Well, she keeps subtly reminding me that I'm unlovable and that Italy will fall for her if he starts talking to her. So then she said she's doing me a favor by not talking to him. Then Canada, he doesn't even consider me as his sibling! He would ignore me when I ask him for something and get mad at me for no reason. At least Kiwi and Aussie are fine. They keep to themselves." I rant.
China hugs me, "don't listen to her lies. She's only jealous of you because I was friends with you first. Also, you are lovable. I love you. Don't you remember that?"
I smile softly, "thank you China. I love you too." But his love isn't the same one that I want from my family. I want to feel the love that other kids at school feel with their siblings. Yes, they fight over stupid things, but in the end they still care for one another. Canada fights with me and hates me forever. Confederate doesn't care about me unless my problems affect her. Like how she wants me to get away from China. I will never feel that type of love.
"How's it going between you and Italy? I haven't asked you in a while," China says.
I glare at him, "I don't understand how you got us to pretend to like each other, but it worked."
China chuckles, "it worked because Peepee and Confetti are stupid!"
I slap him on the arm angrily, "don't talk about my sister and my friend like that!"
He hugs me apologetically, "sorry 美国. It's the truth."
I cross my arms, "I wonder how people like you."
"Because they don't see the real me. Only you do," he winks. I feel my heart flutter after hearing that. He trusts me.
"How did you even start trusting me?" I ask, fumbling my fingers.
