"Let's go have fun."

I raise an eyebrow at Yujun and look back at my clipboard filled with patient notes from my students. I let out a long sigh at the progress of these punks. I calm my sizzling blood as Yujun continues to lean on the counter to peek at my eyes again.

I click my tongue in frustration and put the clipboard down. He looks at it and notices the sloppy handwriting. "Are these from your students?"

I nod as my upset mind and my steady heart starts a dilemma of what to do next about these notes. However, Yujun's charismatic personality seems to bring this vibrant atmosphere no matter where he is. Everything seems to make sense and I'm slow to anger when he is by my side. This is why, I have a better idea than just scolding my students right now.

I look at Yujun and he seems to straighten his back with expectation and surprise at my sudden determination. "Are you on break or something?"

He nods and I gesture at him to follow me. "Let's go to the coffee shop across the street."

He doesn't ask any questions and only decides to follow me out of the Emergency Room. But he cannot stay quiet for too long. He never does as his mind races with confusion and says, "Are you on break?"

"Yes, but I need to buy donuts."

"Oh. Sweet treats are always needed," he says with hands behind his back and a grin. "I agree."

"They're not for me. It's for my students."

His eyes brighten at my words as he opens the door of the coffee shop for me. "How nice of you! How many students do you have?"

"Seven." I give the cashier a gentle smile and say, "We'll get a dozen donuts, please. The popular flavors."

"Yes, Doctor."

I smile at the lady and Yujun gives me a playful smile. "They even respect you here?"

"I come here a lot with Cristina. They recognize me already."

"Should we get them coffee, too?" Yujun says.

"No," I say as I swipe my credit card. "Do they want me to adopt them, too? They can get coffee from the breakroom."

Yujun raises his brows and looks away at my firm words. But he knows all too well to not argue with me about my decisions with work. Yujun takes the box for me and I start back to the hospital, ready to give this surprise to those punks.

"After we give them the donuts, I was thinking we could go for a walk to the park or maybe we could--"

"I have a question," I say as my mind continues to tinker with the different ways I should approach this situation with my students.

"Yes?"

"As a neurologist, would you say that sugar helps your brain think?"

I stop in front of the elevator with Yujun and he furrows his brows at my question. "Mm...I suppose so. Your body in general needs carbohydrates to survive. However, your brain does use a hefty amount of glucose to be able to function well."

"And if the brain functions well, then you think better. Okay. Let's go."

Yujun scoffs as he enters the elevator with me. "Why do you always talk in riddles?"

I only do a smirk because he won't expect what I will do next. None of them ever do and my students all happily stand to take a donut when I enter their study room with Yujun. He smiles by my side as we watch them enjoy their treat.

"Thank you, Dr. Nam," some of them say with exhausted eyes coming back to life.

"Of course," I say. "Do you like it?"
