On the other hand, Jungkook entered the guest room and took a shower before trying to sleep. Despite his efforts, sleep avoided him, and he found himself tossing and turning in bed. Eventually, he gave up, sighing as he got up and decided to step outside for some fresh air, hoping it might help calm his restless mind. As he entered the living room, feeling a bit thirsty, he headed towards the kitchen but paused when he noticed someone.

"Y/n..." he whispered softly, seeing her asleep at the dining table. Glancing at the time, he noted it was nearly 4 o'clock in the morning. Sighing, Jungkook slowly approached her, watching her sleep peacefully.

"No doubt she's way too stubborn to listen. I told her that I'll eat later and she was still waiting for me," Jungkook thought to himself, feeling increasingly anxious realising that everything she was enduring was his fault. He stood beside her, he couldn't help but wonder how many times she had silently endured such moments, sacrificing her own needs for his sake.

Determined to ensure she slept comfortably, he decided to carry her to her room upstairs. Carefully lifting her in his arms in a bridal style, he made sure not to disturb her sleep as he slowly ascended the stairs to her room. Upon reaching her room, he silently opened the door and gently laid her on the bed.

As he tried to get up, he found himself unable to do so because Y/n had placed her head on his left hand, drawing him closer to her face unintentionally.

He almost held his breath when he felt her warm breath on his face. His heart pounded violently, as if it might burst at any moment. Gazing at her peaceful sleeping face, he was overcome with emotions that made him forget all his worries. Jungkook felt like he was in another world, one where it was just the two of them.

As he watched her sleeping form, Jungkook couldn't help but marvel at the delicate curve of her eyelashes, the gentle rise and fall of her chest with each breath.

In that moment, time seemed to stand still, and all he could hear was the soft rhythm of her breathing, soothing his racing heart. Lost in the stillness of the moment, he whispered words of love, knowing she couldn't hear them but feeling their weight lift from his soul.

"What are you doing to me, Y/n?" he whispered softly, careful not to wake her. "Why do you make it so difficult for me to stay away from you? Why do you care for me so deeply, even when I show you no emotion? It both unsettles me and brings me peace, Y/n. I don't think I can suppress my feelings for you any longer..." he paused, his throat tightening, making it difficult for him to speak further. "...and that terrifies me. I'm afraid of losing you too... I know you won't let that happen, but who knows when you might leave me as well? It hurts so much...one of my fears lurks within my mind, Y/n. Attachment devours me, It's better for me to remain alone," he confessed, his voice breaking and tears welling up in his eyes.

As he poured out his heart, Y/n remained peacefully asleep, her breathing steady and undisturbed. His words hung heavy in the air, echoing in the quiet of the night, as if seeking solace in the stillness around them. Feeling the weight of his confession, he gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face, his touch tender yet hesitant.

"Even in your sleep, you hold a power over me," he murmured softly, his voice barely audible in the darkness. "I find myself drawn to you, craving the warmth of your presence even when I know I should resist."

Y/n stirred slightly, a faint smile gracing her lips as if sensing his turmoil even in her dreams. He watched her for a moment, the swell of emotions threatening to overwhelm him.

His vision started to blur, causing a sharp pain in his heart and chest thinking that one day, she might just disappear from his sight in a blur.

Before Jungkook's tears could fall onto her face, he quickly turned his head and rested it on Y/n's shoulder, allowing his tears to dampen the bedsheet instead. After struggling to contain his pain, he gently lifted her head and placed it on the pillow. Wiping away his tears, he covered her body with a blanket.

"I'm so sorry for causing you so much pain, Y/n. I truly am. Good night," he said softly before turning off the lights and closing her room's door. Jungkook's footsteps echoed softly in the hallway, each one heavy with the weight of his emotions. With a heavy heart, he retreated to his own room, the silence of the night engulfing him like a suffocating blanket.

Afterwards, he spent some time outside to calm himself down. His mind was consumed with thoughts, especially about her.

His behavior wasn't just hurting himself, but also Y/n. Feeling helpless only made the situation worse. As he dwelled on these thoughts, his head began to ache. Unable to bear the pain any longer, he took some medicine and soon fell asleep.
